Nintendo switch – gaming console for cooler parents

30 years ago the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was released with an unforgiving rectangular controller with five buttons.The console was the birthplace of a number of popular franchises, including the Legend of Zelda series, and with Legend of Zelda still going strong you still can buy the NES, in miniature form, today in the new switch.

Nintendo’s new console, the Nintendo Switch, is a games console that can be used in three different ways. It can be connected to the TV, used as a handheld device and also as a tabletop device.The console is the first of its kind, acting as a hybrid device that can be used in the home like a traditional console as well being able to transform into a portable system.

nintendo switchNintendo is staying true to its roots in making some of their most beloved games available on the console (Mario, Legend of Zelda, etc), and the console, much like its predecessor, steers fairly clear of the embittered PlayStation/Xbox battleground with it’s family-friendly cartoon advocates and new option to take it on the road.

The device can be played in both single and multiplayer modes, and can be played online to allow users to interact with people around the world. Whilst games can be played online, the Nintendo Switch does not include a web browser.

There is a free app called Nintendo Switch Parental Controls which parents can download to help manage and engage with their family’s use of the Nintendo Switch

What you a parental control app do:

  • Monitor their  children what they are playing  . parents can view a report of which games their child has been playing, and see how much time they have spent on each game. They can also receive a monthly play report of their child’s game play activity. This can allow parents to start a conversation about the types of games your child likes to play.
  • Monitor the time child spends on the Switch: Parents can set a time limit for how long their child is allowed to play, when this time is over an alarm will be triggered on the Nintendo Switch to let them know their play time is over.
  • Set the “Suspend Software” feature to automatically turn the game off when child’s game play time is over.
  • Restrict games and certain online features according to  child’s age. Parents can stop their child from playing games which may be inappropriate for their age ranges.

Although the Nintendo Switch can be played online, through the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app you have the ability to restrict whether your child can send and receive messages from other users. This restriction can be changed for each individual game they play on the device.

For short i come  up with a conclusion as the parent of the Future if i plan to get a console to my family i would definitely choose this because of the  available options which i have partner with my mobile application to check out what my kids are playing and to tag along with them ,

Hopper is a mobile application that uses big data analytics to predict and analyze airfare . Hopper provides travelers with the information they need to get the best deals on flights, and notifies them when prices for their flights are at their predicted lowest points.

Last year they came up with an idea like Black Friday in travel bargains  they call it Travel Deal Tuesday . They analyzed historical flight pricing data and found that fare sale activity significantly spikes on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in America. Last year, Globally they observed more than double the normal fare sale activity on Travel Deal Tuesday. In 2015, they could  fare sale activity spike by 6X the normal volume.  The airlines offer major discounts because travel demand tends to die down following Thanksgiving. Most travelers have already booked their holiday airfare, but haven’t started planning their winter getaways yet.

Instead of searching throughout the day about choosing a cheapest the date. The best  way to score a deal is to download the Hopper app and set up a Flex Watch . When we set a Flex Watch, we have an option to select  cities or regions that we are interested in and Hopper will monitor deals 24/7 and alert ,when there’s a breaking fare sale.

 

They also give out many tips to the customer stating there are 10 different mistakes that you make when booking a flight ticket.

  1. Customers usually check prices for only one carrier, with this applications they can choose  oodles of potential savings on everything from short domestic connections to long-haul transits with stopovers
  2. It’s a very bad idea to rush into paying for your flight without exhausting all your options  with this application you can compare with the competitive offers and choose a better price.
  3. Although it may seem a little odd and the savings may seem negligible, choosing the right day to book your flights can actually help reduce the cost of tickets. Indeed, Hopper’s stats have shown that buying on Thursdays  and weekends  offer the largest savings on average.
  4.  it’s always worth checking out prices to alternative arrival points nearby because Perhaps you’re considering a trip to the bubbling baths and industrial beer halls of Budapest, Hungary, but can’t seem to find any bargain air connections into town. Well, a wise traveler would expand their range of choices and look at flights to Vienna, Munich, Prague, and Bratislava, too, all of which are just one manageable and affordable overland journey away from Budapest.
  5. Hopper’s statistics have shown that there are some pretty hefty savings to be had on airfares by simply changing up the days of departure and return to suit the trends for particular routes. Voice Apps and E-Commerce

Marketers say that in order to anticipate what the customer wants , you will have to predict what they are thinking .With the voice apps becoming more and more commonplace – now customers can actually tell you .

Back in 2013 the Googles spoken word accuracy was below 80% and few years later it has been increased to 90% but everyone is aiming for 99% accuracy. Accuracy problem arises when you can notice significant differences in terms we type and how we speak . Amazon Echo understands that you want a “pepperoni pizza with extra cheese” from Dominos, and can have it delivered to your door. No typing necessary. Service providers like Uber ,Dominoes and Kayak have already made huge gain in setting themselves up for such a voice-based domination windfall.

In the meantime there’s rush from both Amazon and Google to dominate the automated home assistant maker With the release of the Amazon Echo and Google Home, there’s a definite face-off between the leader in e-commerce and the leader in search.What remains to be seen, however, is just how much of a role these apps actually play in promoting a purchase.

Much of the voice based search is centered around analytics. Goodnes, the Nestle app that uses Amazon Echo skills, lets you search recipes, see (or tell) what ingredients are needed, email you the recipe or show you nutritional information, among other things.

Although it seems like only big brands will be able to take advantage of the shift in voice-based searches and purchases, we’re only truly scratching the surface of the full potential of these types of apps.Both Amazon and Google know thats not in their best interest to simply become a hard pen for others. In my opinion small brands they should keep doing what they are doing  cultivating customer engagement, open discussion, problem-solving and an overall helpful experience. No matter what the underlying technology driving a customer’s inquiry, excelling at these skills will set you far ahead of yourcompetition. 

In a year or two, it’s possible we’ll look at text-based search the way we look at our old MySpace page — with a twinge of nostalgia and an overwhelming sense of relief over how much better, faster and more intuitive things are today.

a chance to get in contact with your clients is a significant way for your business to grow. Chat bots help to handle interactions with customers for e-commerce companies and simulate the shopping that buyers get in a retail store. Now a days chat bots are the hottest artificial intelligence and tend to be included more and more in the systems. In the near future we will be using chat-bots all the time for different goals.

Mgage a telecommunication provider from London through a survey found that Chat-bots can instantly & accurately answer up to 90% of the questions they’re asked. This round-the-clock support is unlikely for most businesses using humans due to the cost, so another benefit of Chat-bots is the money they’d save retailers, up to 30% in customer service.

 

  • Engaging Customers and send location offers

Burger King have begun testing a Chat-bot in the US that allows customers to place an order, choose a restaurant and collect from the location. Sending them message with deals, targeting them around the time of the day they would usually order and even location based offers.

  • Reduce steps to a conversion

H&M’s new messenger bot attempts to offer a personalized shopping experience that leads to the checkout. Customers enter a conversation with the bot who will pick-up certain keywords, like colors and garment types, to help guide them to their products. It will recommend clothing, suggest whole outfits and link them to the product page; reducing steps and creating new sales opportunities.

In my opinion Chat-bots can bring up new E-business ideas and encourage customer interaction. it provides the businesses a gateway to understand the customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly Overall it will be a powerful marketing tool in the future.

Augmented Reality – new gateway for E-commerce

Many were exposed to augmented reality in 2016 with hit game Pokemon GO, which placed gaming animations within in the real world scenario through a smart camera lens. Augmented reality isn’t just for gaming. Over in the next few years, you will see it expand into other industries like healthcare, books, and of course augmented reality e-commerce.

With the launch of iPhone X and ARkit, Now apple can be involved in the world of augmented reality. Google has similarly been experimenting with smartphone AR  since it showed off Project TAngo in 2014.  After three years company has some great technology but very little in the way of actual users.Google is signaling a reactionary shift in its strategy by releasing a developer preview of ARCore. Google’s ARCore is the answer to   Apple’s ARKit.

So what does it mean? ARCore and ARKit are the ways independent programmers and companies can create an augmented reality for your smartphone. They are not “the apps,” but they are how one would “create the apps.”

Both Apple and Google are making AR central to their mobile experience. That means companies creating new digital customer experiences can start thinking about how to harness AR for e-commerce purposes. Brands can extend the interactive and transnational experience to customers wherever they are as long as they have a mobile device in hand.

Augmented reality eCommerce can personalize the shopping experience for your customers. AR is arranged in such a way that it will increase sales by allowing customers to try before buying and, in turn, reduce returns by removing the initial guesswork. Overtime there will be tools that will change fashion industry . Which will allow customers to see what clothes look like on them or that show the actual size of the furniture in your space. So to sum up AR has the potential to deliver these personalizes services to masses. it will change the perspective of online stores that we see today by giving a personalized shopping experience , guided by a knowledgeable curator who knows an individual shoppers style ,sizes and preferences which paves way to a new world of eCommerce
