Will artificial intelligence replace writers and musicians?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

According to a report by Ericsson Connected Intelligent Machines, 20% of consumers prefer AI-driven content to human-made content. The results show that the creative race between people and machines is currently underway. However, it is too early to announce the winners, because still, every fifth respondent prefers content created in a traditional way.

Consumers predict that mass media will be increasingly influenced by automation by 2030. In fact, the future may be closer than we think. Today, even the most basic AI language generators are proving to be good enough content creators on social media platforms.

The future of content creation may lie in human-machine collaboration. One interesting area where this is already happening at the mass market level is in science fiction literature. Famed Chinese SF author Chen Qiufan, competing with writers such as Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan, recently won a literary competition in Shanghai with his short story “The State of Trance” which featured AI-generated passages.

Will Artificial Intelligence reach the film or music area?

A report from Ericsson found that consumers consider film and music to be the domain of human creativity. Six in ten respondents say they would prefer human film producers to AI counterparts. However, most of this group of respondents are apparently unaware that AI is already being used in the film industry to support human decision-making.

Currently, consumers are still more likely to choose humans as music makers, 65% of respondents believe. However, the Connected Intelligent Machines report also found that six in 10 of us believe that “artificial musicians” will be able to surpass humans on the charts by 2030.

It’s raining? AI has the same problems during rainy days as drivers.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Not only drivers have a harder time driving during rainfall. It turns out that artificial intelligence also has problems with driving in such conditions.

The fact that road incidents occur less frequently in the autumn and winter months, which are characterized by an increased amount of rain or snow, results from the fact that we drive slower. Limited visibility, fogged windows, problems with traction and braking on a flooded or snow-covered road make drivers take their feet off the gas. Interestingly, the research on autonomous systems shows that self-driving vehicles also have a problem with the “comfort” of driving in bad weather conditions.

On the one hand, this may seem surprising, but on the other hand, it is symptomatic. Surprisingly, intelligent vehicles are intended to be more perfect and safer, as they will be devoid of human weaknesses. And symptomatic, because every pioneering technology faces certain limitations or barriers, and this is the case with autonomous vehicles and the aforementioned rain, argues Prof. Marcin Ślęzak, director of the Motor Transport Institute.

ITS research carried out under the project “AV-PL-ROAD – Polish road to road transport automation” (in consortium with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Warsaw University of Technology) indicates a number of factors that currently constitute an obstacle to the dynamic development of self-propelled vehicle technology. Apart from a number of legal issues, organizational and technological shortcomings remain to be solved, such as the construction of the necessary digital infrastructure in the 5G standard, the development of smart cities, data security, electromagnetic interference, calibration of systems for smooth and safe driving at the same time or the mentioned problem of driving in difficult conditions weather.

The artificial intelligence of an autonomous car uses a number of sensors to steer, including radars, LIDARs, ultrasound sensors and cameras. Thanks to them, it detects other nearby objects and makes independent decisions about all aspects of driving. The artificial intelligence system tries to track and predict what other cars will do, whether they are computer-driven or human-driven. This does not mean, however, that in rain or snow, self-propelled vehicles, despite the extensive electronics, will cope better than the proverbial Kowalski. Difficult weather conditions present an additional challenge for intelligent vehicles, as well as for humans. This is because disruptions in the functioning of LIDAR (the most accurate laser sensor onboard a self-driving car), e.g. due to bad weather conditions, are levelled with less accurate radar and cameras. It is not without reason that most road tests of such vehicles are carried out in places where it is sunny most of the time, such as California, Arizona or Texas, notes Prof. Ślęzak.

Of course, this does not mean that the intelligent vehicle will not move in the rain or stop in the middle of the road during heavy snowfall. It will start and keep going, but slower than cars driven by drivers. The factor that will further slow it down will be other road users – people and their conservative and even unpredictable driving. Therefore, it should be expected that self-propelled vehicles (although safer in principle, because they should reduce the number of accidents by about 30%) will generate traffic jams at least in the initial phase of their popularization.

The therapists of the future – Can artificial intelligence help with your mental health?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The ills of psychology and psychotherapy have been the same for years – poorly structured data, a multitude of schools and therapeutic methods, the effectiveness of which is poorly or almost completely unverifiable.

Will the algorithms be able to help the man who created the imperfect, flawed system?

According to a 2016 meta-analysis published in the Psychological Bulletin, which was conducted over the past 50 years, psychology has made no progress in predicting acts of suicide. Subsequent cross-sectional studies laboriously try to sift the grain from the chaff and at the same time show how much pseudoscience is in psychology. As an introduction, it is worth mentioning the famous psychologist who almost has the status of a star – Philipha Zimbardo, whose experiment also did not survive the test of time and turned out to be an ordinary fraud, which was discovered by a French documentary filmmaker.

Despite the crises that psychology is going through, there are also areas where attempts are made to apply algorithms and solutions bordering on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Let’s take a look at the most interesting solutions that scientists have managed to create so far. We will omit historical algorithms, such as ELIZA, which is one of the first intelligent interlocutors-therapists, and focus on the subjective, more advanced three.

Say hi to Ellie, avatar therapist.

Despite the fact that this is an algorithm that is already old, despite the poor graphic interpretation of the therapist, it still makes a big impression. The algorithm analyzes our facial expressions, gestures, voice timbre or eye movement and conducts the conversation as in classical therapy. Studies have shown that veterans (who participated in the pilot) suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder were more likely to answer questions to a digital “human” than to a real therapist. The results achieved by the algorithm were appreciated by clinicians who were impressed by the effectiveness of the algorithm and the openness of patients during the conversation with the avatar.

Algorithm-therapist

A much more specialized approach is proposed by Spring Health, which creates algorithms that monitor only mental illnesses.

We are able to predict whether the condition of a given patient will improve after the selected therapy – says Adam Chekroud, co-founder of Spring Health

The Spring Health algorithms are used, for example, by employees of Amazon and Gap Inc. For now, however, this diagnosis consists in selecting appropriate drugs based on questionnaires filled in by the patients themselves.

This process is, of course, largely automated and can boast very high treatment effectiveness, but we are still a little short of artificial intelligence, which would be a full-fledged and effective therapist. For now, the effectiveness of the algorithms depends on the analysis of a sufficiently large set of data. The algorithm analyzes data on several hundred thousand patients, taking into account all their medical data, and on this basis creates a whole network of relationships between the type of patient and the therapy that turned out to be the most effective.

On the basis of such a network of dependencies, algorithms are already able to identify people with mental disorders long before their diagnosis by any human doctor.

So we can risk a statement that in the future machines will be responsible for healing not only our body, but also our mind. The only question is how distant this future is.

DARPA started control F-16 via AI.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The American military agency DARPA intends to integrate artificial intelligence algorithms in fighter battles. A simulation was carried out with the participation of F-16 aircraft.

DARPA recently tested the possibilities of integrating artificial intelligence in air combat. Last month, the agency conducted tests in which two simulated F-16 fighters took part – their task was to defeat the enemy plane together. The test is part of the so-called ACE (Air Combat Evolution) program and its first phase, in which air combat is studied in the context of e.g. machine learning.

DARPA’s Air Combat Evolution (ACE) program is half way through Phase 1 and has notched several key accomplishments in anticipation of live subscale aircraft dogfights in Phase 2 later this year

“Our biggest focus at the end of Phase 1 is on the simulation-to-real transition of the AI algorithms as we prepare for live-fly sub-scale aircraft scenarios in late 2021,” said Col. Dan “Animal” Javorsek, program manager in DARPA’s Strategic Technology Office. “Managing this transition to the real world is a critical test for most AI algorithms. In fact, prior efforts have been brittle to just these types of transitions because some solutions can be over-reliant on digital artefacts from the simulation environment.”

Watch the short movie about “Phase 1” on the YouTube channel, DARPAtv !!!

https://youtu.be/Sd8ryTWOjBg

According to DARPA, the goal of the program is to create a trusted, scalable AI-managed air combat autonomy system that would also be the result of human-machine collaboration. As you can see in the video below, which explains the entire test, two F-16 fighters were to knock down the enemy plane.

Let me add that the US military has recently also tested new tools for fighting in cyberspace – and there it apparently needs more ways to conduct battles. The US Army also intends to buy 40,000. ultramodern goggles, which include they will allow you to “see through the walls”.

Modern Goggle.

The Americans will spend several hundred million dollars for this purpose, but it will probably be money well invested. The goggles will offer some impressive possibilities, including “seeing through walls”.

They have been working on IVAS goggles for quite a few years and want to buy as much as 40,000 pieces of this equipment that will be used by soldiers around the world. These are mainly to be infantry units, which, thanks to IVAS goggles, will receive much better understanding on the battlefield.

The goggles are able to receive images from cameras placed around the armored transport vehicle, thanks to which soldiers who are inside the machine and equipped with goggles can look through its walls, seeing what is happening outside the vehicle. The goggles will also offer other possibilities, e.g. looking around the corners of a building or a corridor, providing the soldier with an image from a webcam attached to his weapon. The goggles can also receive an image from a thermal imaging telescope, offering the soldier a better view of the battlefield at night.

The general assumption is that the goggles work similarly to a fighter pilot’s helmet, offering soldiers a range of information in the form of a digital display, e.g. a map with GPS coordinates. The American command assumed that it would spend 40,000 on the purchase. IVAS goggles $ 1.1 billion, and Congress cut that amount by twenty per cent. This does not change the fact that soldiers are already training with this type of devices and their implementation into active service units seems to be a matter of time.

Get the Tesla just for a couple of your Bitcoins!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

You can now pay for Tesla cars with bitcoin cryptocurrency.

E-car maker Tesla has begun to accept bitcoin, according to a Twitter message from Elon Musk. This is a new milestone in the cryptocurrency adoption process.

The company will not exchange bitcoins for FIAT.

“Tesla only uses internal and open source software and supports Bitcoin nodes directly,” added Musk in another reply. “Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be kept as bitcoin, not converted to fiat currency.”

The tweets appeared shortly after some Twitter users began noticing bitcoin support as a payment option in the company’s US stores for its electric car models.

Musk commented that bitcoin payment is available in the US for now. “Bitcoin payment option available outside the United States later this year,” he added.

The address where the bitcoins for the cars will go.

Based on the bitcoin payment details that The Block editors were able to see even before removing the option, the company provided this BTC address as a receiving address.

Tesla informed users that it does not currently accept payments in digital assets other than bitcoin. Potential car purchase transactions are to take place at the indicated address in one transaction.

It had to happen!

Already at the time of submitting the 10-K documents to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in early February regarding the 1.5 billion investment in BTC, Tesla announced that it would soon start accepting bitcoin as a form of payment for its products.

With BTC, you can now buy models from the manufacturer’s extensive fleet of electric cars (Model S, Model Y, Model 3 and Model X).

Do you take care of your daily hygiene? Did you take care of your hygiene online?

Reading Time: 4 minutes

First of all, have you ever been thinking about, how many “fingerprints” you left in the Internet? I can ensure you that there are more than you think. No matter what you do on your device which is connected to the internet, it leaves data. By using the word “data” I mean all the activities you do on the Web, or on the device which will be connected to the Web in the future, and which can be scaled into information.  Data is also the moment when your and your friend’s smartphone are present during meetings. It is also some kind of information. The another info from your one meeting is that how much time you spend together, for how long you spend it without each other, even where do you spend it (as long as you allow the device to track you). That data is used by all of the companies connected somehow with the advertising market. (eg. Facebook, Google, Yahoo).

Here are some examples of how to avoid sharing information that concerns you.:

THE FIRST, THE EASIEST.

Find in the settings of your net browser, the history of the browser and cookies tab, and clear it. If you use smartphone check out in the settings of the phone, all the permissions that the apps have. Sometimes when you install for example, a flashlight, it asks you to allow the app to use your contacts or messages, microphone, or even access to camera (not the led light). Feels strange, isn’t it? You can always disallow it in the settings of the app or just uninstall an app from your smartphone.

THE SECOND, YOU WILL NEED A TAPE.

Sometimes it happens that your device is infected by some kind of spy malware.

According to Wikipedia:

“Malware is any software intentionally designed to cause damage to a computer, server, client, or computer network. Malware does the damage after it is implanted or introduced in some way into a target’s computer and can take the form of executable code, scripts, active content, and other software.”

But what about this tape. One kind of malware is the spy malware, it is using the cameras, microphones in your laptops. As it is difficult to fight with eavesdroppers, it’s so easy to fight with voyeurs by taping by the sticker on the camera of your device. This method is really good idea of fighting with malware is the first step of being “healthy” in the Web.

THE THIRD, PAY BY CASH.

The credit/debit cards since they exist are really hot products. In Poland, there is a trend to pay for everything by credit/debit cards. Now in connection with what I wrote above, think about how much data you leave on one Friday evening. Your bank knows how much you spend the money, for what you spend, is it just one night or it is your week rhythm. Thanks to that info in someday your loan request can be rejected because Bank will not give the loan to the person who provides that type of lifestyle. They will not say strict in that way, but people who were working in that field says about it. The way how to avoid this data scalping process is really easy, pay by cash.

THE FOURTH, JUST BE A KIND PERSON.

Whenever you go for a party there is a moment when people grab their smartphones and take the photos of themselves or of the other people. Remember that sometimes metadata is scalped even by your default app camera on your smartphone. By using word “metadata” I mean the time or the location, where the photo was taken. You can easily turn it off. But what about that kindness which I was writing about above. After or during the party some people feel a real need to share it on some social media. Predominantly on the photo, there are more people than the person who uploads it. The first, I mean the obligatory, step is to ask these people for the permission of uploading it online. You will be treated better in the future by them, because they will see that you care about their safety in the Web and that you are kind person.

On the other hand, some people are agreeing for all of these things, that I was warning you from. That because of the self-comfort. We need to accept it. But for all others, keep trying to abide by the principles of the self-hygiene on the Web.

What is my view about this?

We don’t have to be scared of using devices that are connected to the Internet, but always remember, that these products can scalp data in a way that we never wanted. Just try to be more hygienic online and your life can be better.

A World Without Language Barriers? It’s available now for everyone!

Reading Time: 3 minutes
People from the very beginning had one big barrier. It is communicational barrier. There was even a biblical story about Tower of Babel which explains why the world’s peoples speak different languages.

Now this problem can be solved!

Thanks to the latest translating technology and firms such as “Waverly Labs INC” people can easily communicate with each other by using an earphone. But it is not normal earphone. This earphone is something more. It includes a complete system with a world class translation engine.

A complete system, including:

  • Pilot earbuds designed with high definition acoustic clarity for top quality audio
  • A companion app to connect the cloud engine with the earbuds and access the Pilot’s suite -of features
  • Translation and interpretation of 15 languages and 42+ dialects
  • Wireless music streaming
  • Voice calls, charging case, and more “- says the producer.

The very best advantage of this device is the fact that these earbuds can translate up to 5 different language speaking people into other 5 different languages and it’s all abreast.

These videos below shows how it really works:

(with polish speaking journalist)

Due to latest press release!

Waverly Labs was chosen as CES 2019 INNOVATION AWARDS HONOREE.

Andrew Ochoa, The CEO of Waverly Labs, shared the comment about it:

“Pilot was designed to bridge the gap for those suffering with translation barriers in their everyday life. We’re incredibly thrilled to be included with a roster of innovative teams working on award winning technologies.”

What is my view about this?

For me it’s highly advanced big step in translating technology. Nowadays people use their smartphones to communicate. Most of them are using Google Translate app which is, just to be honest, not the best one. Thanks to the Waverly Labs earbuds now we can freely communicate with people and it is still sound naturally. There is no wall between them. By using word of “wall” I meant a smartphone. During the conversation we have to look at it to understand our interlocutor. In a business and social atmosphere, it is not proper to do that. But with the earbud we can easily have an eye contact which can help us in the future. thanks to that simple thing some entrepreneurs can treat us better.

On the other hand, we cannot trust in everything what this device says to us. Some people in the forums says that, theirs devices had the problem with understanding the dialects and languages and it was creating a lot of misunderstandings during the conversation. Other counter argument is that we cannot use these earbuds to translate conversation in really loudly places. The other thing that the Waverly Labs Inc should work on is the accent of the speaking device. IT IS DRAMATICALLY POOR.

To sum up my post. I think we are on a good way to get rid of the problem with the communicational barrier as long as you have $179.00 to spent on it. There are only few things to correct but for this time it will be enough.

Facebook sells its users’ data!

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The fact that web portals manage the data of their users without their awareness is known not from today, but the way in which Facebook does, it’s just beyond comprehension.

The New York Times is showing the truth.

In connection with recent reports from The New York Times, we read that Facebook sold access to various types of “sensitive data” about its users to such companies as: Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo, Netflix, Spotify. Netflix and Spotify had even access to private correspondence. In most cases, the data obtained by the companies were to help in the selection and positioning of advertisements for users of the said portals. It does not change the fact that through the sale of these data Facebook broke an agreement from 2011 with the American Federal Trade Commission, which clearly states that Facebook can share user data only if it is given accurate and explicit consent.

Companies answer the allegations!

All companies mentioned in the report of The New York Times issued a special statement. One of them is the statement of the Netflix press office regarding access to private correspondence of Facebook users. We read in it about:

“Over the years, we’ve tested various solutions to help Netflix understand the wider community, one of which was a feature introduced in 2014 that allowed site users to recommend their favourite series and movies to their Facebook friends via Messenger or a Netflix account. It has not been that popular as we assumed, which is why we decided to remove it in 2015. At no time did we have access to private messages of Facebook users, or we asked for the possibility of receiving them. “ – Netflix press office says.

The New York Times was really well prepared for this investigation.

It doesn’t change the fact, that The New York Times interviewed more than 60 people, including former employees of Facebook and its partners, former government officials and privacy advocates. Thanks to that we can be sure that Facebook did something illegal and now tries to bury the truth.

“The Times also reviewed more than 270 pages of Facebook’s internal documents and performed technical tests and analysis to monitor what information was being passed between Facebook and partner devices and websites.” – as The New York Times said.

What is my view about this situation?

In my opinion, companies that have access to sensitive data of their users should make every effort to ensure that this data does not leak. In this way, eg. Apple, which extremely highly appreciates the safety of data users of their products and whenever they commit some “mistakes at work”, they plead the guilty and try to repair the whole situation (eg. icloud leaks affair).

Facebook approaches similar situations in a different way, which tries to whitewash the truth and pass the buck on others. The Cambridge Analytica scandal is a perfect example of frauds and deceptions, thanks to which we learned how Facebook can influence election results in one of the most powerful countries in the world, such as the USA is. That sort of stuff is not conducive to peace but exacerbates the conflict on the Facebook and Users relations.

Counter-argument to this whole situation is the fact that the majority of Facebook users do not care about privacy policy. They accept all consents without prior reading. They do not follow the basic security rules on the Internet. They share their private lives via Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc. For this reason, it can be assumed that such users agree to full surveillance, which is not said to be bad. If we have nothing to hide, why should we be disturbed by the fact that someone can earn from it. I believe that if there is already such a situation, it would be great if the company / person who earns money on their users, would inform them about everything and admit theirs guilt when they fails.

Large Hadron Collider has been stopped again!

Reading Time: 3 minutes
When the World heard for the first time about LHC (Large Hadron Collider) it was 16th of December 1994. In that time CERN (fr. Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) decided to start new accelerator which LHC was. LHC is the one of the biggest, the hardest to understand and the most expensive device on the earth. It costed 5.7 billion of swiss francs what makes it the most expensive building or device it in the World.

It was 10th of September 2008, after 14 years of preparing, when CERN launched LHC accelerator for the first time. 9 days later there were some issues related with the accelerator and researchers have been solving them for next 14 months. For that moment scientists were convinced about the fact if they can struggle with problems like that at the very beginning so it might happen in the future. Because of the fact that they have wanted to achieve enabling collisions at 14 TeV level, which the program established, they had the problems in the beginning with enabling collisions at 0,45 TeV level. Thanks to 14 months of modernization, it gave the chance to achieve 13 TeV level of 16 billiard enabling collisions in the next years.

THEY WILL STOP IT ONCE AGAIN!

On 3rd December 2018 all the LHC’s devices have been stopped once again to start the new program of modernization which will presumably takes next 2 years. In that time the researchers will be able to analyze over 300 petabyte of data that LHC gave from the latest experiments.

– The second course of the LHC was impressive. We were able to achieve much more beyond our goals and expectations, producing five times more data than during the first run, with the unprecedented energy of 13 TeV – says Frédérick Bordry, director of CERN accelerators

The new modernization project assumes the addition of 130 new, more powerful magnets for the 27-kilometer-long ring tunnel. It also brings with itself a new power and cooling systems. Thanks to these modernizations, the upgraded Large Hadron Collider will change its name to High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider. Scientists expect that the modified device will carry much more important experiments and make great discoveries. And the differences will really be huge.

– Starting this second, long shutdown, we will prepare the machine for even more collisions at 14 TeV – Bordry says

Today, the machine can produce 1.2 million Higgs bosons, and this number will increase up to 15 million.

WHAT ARE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS?

Some people claim that this whole project is really needless, and they call LHC the toy for Big Nerdy Boys. Despite the fact that this whole project now is 24 years long and despite huge costs of itself construction and modernization but also operation itself, it has already paid off several times. Thanks to LHC, one of the greatest discoveries made at CERN was the confirmation of the Higgs’s boson existence. It is an elementary particle, proposed by Peter Higgs and five other scientists. People are still scared about such discoveries because they are not really interested in this type of science and they don’t, or they don’t want to understand the significance of the discoveries that researchers have made.

In my opinion the continuous “chunking” of bosons from the space can partially affect the balance in the spatial “grid” of Higgs’s field, in fact, it is rather a difficult to predict the effect of local space disturbances, also gravity and time. Well, unless the scientists can already estimate the location of nodes of the grid and for this can be such an operation useful. On the other hand, the myths about the possible destruction of the universe due to the disruption of the space-time structure are rather u irresponsible, not to be described as ridiculous.

However, I still understand the indignation of people associated with the allocation of astronomical amounts of money to this project.

How Artificial Intelligence is starting to have a serious effect on our lives?

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Have you seen Minority Report directed by Steven Spielberg?

For those who haven’t I recommend watching it because the prophecy of this film begins to meet.

Due to the fact that technological process is constantly developing and thanks to that the meaning of Artificial Intelligence in our lives increase, we can definitely be scared about this what is happening around us.

Have you ever been thinking about which is one of the most intimate things in people lives?

It is sexuality orientation. Nowadays many people hide them real sexuality in fear of social indignation for example: sport players, family members, schoolmates. This people have to bother with this inside battle of “coming-out” every single day and now it is going to be worse. Nowadays the AI can guess whether you are gay or straight based of photos of your face. It is the fact not the opinion! Now we can say that machines started to be better “gaydar” than people. The study work from Stanford University – has found algorithm which could distinguish with 81% of accuracy whether you are gay or straight for men and with 74% of accuracy for women.

The algorithm was tested on machine intelligence which had to research of 35 000 facial photos from the one of dating sites and thanks to that had find out the real sexual orientation.

“The research found that gay men and women tended to have “gender-atypical” features, expressions and “grooming styles”, essentially meaning gay men appeared more feminine and vice versa. The data also identified certain trends, including that gay men had narrower jaws, longer noses and larger foreheads than straight men, and that gay women had larger jaws and smaller foreheads compared to straight women.”   – Sam Levin, The Guardian

Okay what if I am straight?

The authors of study which was published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Dr. Michal Kosinski and Yilun Wang, claim that this algorithm can also be used as a similar AI system which could be trained to spot others human traits such as IQ or political views. They are also warning us against this AI develop process because it can turn into something that we don’t really want to in our lives.

It is happening now!

Police in the UK are piloting a new project which provides to use AI to determines how someone is likely to commit the crime. Seems familiar? Back to that what I wrote at the beginning of my post, Steven Spielberg (Director) and Philip K. Dick (writer) were right. AI is going to prevent us from committing the crime.

“(…) The system has 1,400 indicators from this data that can help flag someone who may commit a crime, such as how many times someone has committed a crime with assistance as well as how many people in their network have committed crimes. People in the database who are flagged by the system’s algorithm as being prone to violent acts will get a “risk score,” New Scientist reported, which signals their chances of committing a serious crime in the future. (…)

(…) Donnelly told the New Scientist that they don’t plan to arrest anyone before they’ve committed a crime, but that they want to provide to those who the system indicates might need it. He also noted that there have been cuts to police funding recently, so something like NDAS (National Data Analytics Solution) could help streamline and prioritize the process of determining who in their databases most needs intervention. (…)”
– Melanie Ehrenkranz, gizmodo.com

The project now is in its infancy in comparison to how important it can be for the future of the justice system.

To sum up my post, there are billions of facial images of people that are publicly available on social media sites, government databases and also these ones which come from the streets cameras. In my opinion we should try to care more about our privacy in a media and don’t let the governments to have that serious impact on our lives because as we know the systems are like people, they sometimes fail.
