At any rate we will know about the way that our account is sheltered. We have to trust that there will be no outcomes if at all there is an online transaction. Everything in our account will be known to us and the bank and it is highly unlikely a third individual would become acquainted with about it.

In my opinion we are on the right track to become a cashless world. Especially, I think that we will be ready for this change when the economic-financial system will decide that it is the moment, when companies will decide to accept only cashless payments or they will decide to incentive them.
But everything has its pros and cons. An important problem is about old people because the largest part of them doesn’t trust technology and it is “old style”.
But, generally, the main problem is about people trust.
So the first task should be to work on people trust, because they actually trust internet system (where they give sensitive data to someone) but they don’t know it. I mean, people don’t trust the cashless system because all operations are made through internet or something they don’t know (so they can’t control them) and these operations are about their money, so they pay more attention on it, but they already use e-mail or similar things where you have many sensitive informations and someone can steal these informations in every moment (think about the recent Yahoo scandal).
In the end, I’d like to conclude with some pros because in my opinion they are more than cons. I think cashless system is very easy to use and it is so useful to everyone (people, institutions…). Cashless operations are easier to mark out, so Government can take some advantages from it. Then, people can save more time at the supermarket, shops, etc (especially with the contactless technology). Simply, as everything, you should take advantage FROM it, to make your life easier, as opposed to take advantage OF it.

For example in order to promote electronic currency, from February 2016 the Union Cabinet of India approved several steps to promote cashless transactions, which include mandatory card-based or electronic payments beyond a prescribed threshold.

So some of the other major steps approved by the Cabinet include the withdrawal of any additional charge currently imposed on card or digital payments by various government entities and the introduction of the required infrastructure for digital payments in all government offices.

Furthermore the Cabinet approved the rationalisation of the merchant discount rate (MDR) on card transactions and telecom service charges for digital financial transactions to promote mobile banking.

I fully support the cashless payment model. First of all, it will let banks, companies, governments and even individuals to track the credibility of all parts in the economy. We will be able to track payment behaviors of users in the system. It will be harder for people to cheat others. It will be harder to evade tax. It will be easier to watch black money for responsible governmental organizations. My concern here, however, is the security of the system for the users. What happens if somehow, system stop working even for one hour? Well all economy paralyzes. Also, accounts of people should be protected more strictly for scams and hackers.
