WHAT IS “HEURA”?
• Foods for Tomorrow, is a Barcelona-based startup that has set out to make 100% vegetable and nutritious foods with a touch of gastro to make them much more appealing.
So Heura is a vegetable meat that simulates the taste and texture of chicken. It is made from sustainably grown soybeans, is high in protein, and contains B12.
Marc Coloma, who before founding Foods for Tomorrow worked in different international ONGs related to animal rights, ecology and social justice, decided that what needed to be reinvented in the world of vegetable proteins was the gastronomic experience. He actually believe that;
“Heura is not a substitute for the meat, is the successor.”
Marc Coloma,
CEO of Foods For Tomorrow
The greatest ambition of the startup is the challenge of how to feed a growing world population, in a sustainable way, and taking into account that there is a growing demand for protein.
HEURA MISSION:
Heura wants to make it easy not only for vegans and vegetarians, but also for great chefs. Coinciding with the rise of this style of eating; 3.5 million people in Spain follow a vegan, vegetarian or “flexitarian” diet.

“Our mission is to address the problems of the current food system by providing protein with a positive impact on the world through sustainable, nutritious and delicious food.”
Finally to summarize, the Barcelona startup “Food for Tomorrow“, has achieved that Heura is the vegetable that everyone is talking about.
Since its launch, heura has been very well received by both regular consumers of vegetable products and omnivorouspeople. Vegan and vegetarian influencers did not hesitate to support the project and spread it through social networks so that thousands of users would know about the product.
Besides, so many people consider Heura to be one of the foods of the future, they want to disrupt the protein market, where meat is just another protein.
