Pocketalk was created by the specialists of SourceNext, a Japanese startup that is based, however, in the American Palo Alto. The company began selling its electronic translator in the US last October.
Dealing with the Pocketalk Classic setup is easy. On the main screen, you must select two languages from the proposed list. Further, each participant in the dialogue uses his own button to talk. For the translation to be as accurate and coherent as possible, sentences must be complete and complete. The device is capable of translating up to 30 seconds of continuous speech per translation. The phrase that we pronounce first appears on the screen in our native language, then in a foreign language, and then the translator voices it.
To use Pocketalk Classic you need an internet connection via Wi-Fi or a built-in SIM card.

Amazing and very promising device indeed! I love travelling, meeting new people from all over the world and exploring new cultures so it will be a perfect gadget for me. Language is very often a barier while sightseeing, so it could solve any kind of communication problems. In addition, learning new languages would be definitely easier, while travelling, because we may remember something we have translated. I’d definitely like to try it!
