Reading Time: 2 minutes

This year’s CES brought us a lot of new techs that are stunning, but I want to talk only about car tech that got my attention.

Google
Google and Volvo announced ab integration with Google Home. It will allow Volvo can owners to use voice commands on Google Assistant associated with your car. For example, you will be able to ask the assistant to turn your car on and of or heat it.

Volvo’s Ride Pilot
Volvo introduced to our plans to work with lidar company Luminar and Zenseact on Ride Pilot. It will be an add-on subscription to a new electric SUV. It will be an AD feature, which means that it can drive fully by itself on highways to give drivers an ability to go hand and eyes-free.

BMW color-changing car
BMW introduced a new color-changing car. As for now, the car can only change colors from white to black, but more colors are expected in the future.

Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX
Mercedes reveal the Vision EQXX, a concept car to show how electric cars in the future will look. The most noticeable thing is a one-piece 47.5-inch LED display with 8K resolution. Besides the visual aspect, they managed to achieve 95% of electrical system efficiency on their prototype which is very impressive.

All in all, in my opinion, the car technology is getting pushed now and all the new features are really exciting. With every release, we get something new. The good question is when are we going to see a “perfect” car? I think nobody can answer that question now but the technology is going now so fast, we are getting there.

I am extremely interested in new cars, especially concept cars. The interior of the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX looks amazing.
I am just wondering how it is possible that the car is able to change the color of the paintwork.

Amazingly, we are able to witness the “future” cars, about which we dreamed only a few years ago. The concept of the future car, auto-pilot cars, and even colour-changing cars are now a reality, and we are excited to see what will come next.

Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX is one of the very few new cars, the design of which I absolutely admire. I really hope that the trend of returning to the streamline moderne designs of 1930s-1960s will be followed by other car manufacturers. It doesn’t only look gorgeous, this shape also provides reduced air resistance, improving the fuel consumption efficiency and, combined with electric motors leads to a great positive impact on ecology.

I am really excited about the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX concept car, it definitely caught my eye! Right now the New Mercedes Benz cars come with the “MBUX hyperscreen” infotainment system. Furthermore, the MBUX infotainment system we have at the moment is extremely smart. I am sure BMW’s new iDrive 8 system will be a good competition to it! More competition means we will get even more futuristic tech inside of these advanced infotainment systems.
