Ken and Cameron Davidov are food scientists, that are well known in the food industry. Recently, they created the SpoonTEK as the name suggests is a spoon that stimulates your taste buds into making the food more flavourful. That means cheese is more cheesy, butter is more creamy and chocolate can be sweeter. So, how it works? There are two metal electrodes, that conduct microcurrents to intensify taste and aftertaste. This father and son duo claim that this spoon can help people on the diet, to make them enjoy their food more. Moreover, that invention may be helpful for people, who have lost their taste and smell due to COVID. The SpoonTEK works best with food that is liquid or semi-liquid like soups, sauces, yogurts, therefore such food has the best contact with the electrodes on the invention. It is worth adding that the spoon can be safely put into a dishwasher and costs $29.

Amazing that people came up with this idea! I think that it’s a great invention in times of pandemic, when people lose their taste and sometimes they regain it just after some period of time or when the taste of some products changes after the covid. I’m just wondering how much greater will be the intensity of the taste of the dishes when using this spoon on daily basis. I would love to try it out if it actually works because it’s hard for me to imagine it. Thanks for an interesting article!
A fantastic idea! I may assume that it is going to be a profitable invention though I can only imagine about the taste. Would like to try only a spoonful
I’ve seen that spoon on Kuba Klawiter’s CES footage, for them it made the yoghurt taste just a bit different
Sounds nice, I wonder if people will actually want to buy it, there will be some people for sure
Nice post. Love hearing about such crazy inventions.
Fantastic invention. I would buy it for my self to see the effect. Reasonable price, and waterproof design really make this invention a good deal for money.
It looks very interesting. I have to check it
Seems very intersting. This is the good approach to the science – to make useful solutions.
What an interesting invention. I think that it is really suitable for people who have lost their sense of taste and smell during the coronavirus. I would like to test this device.
This I would definitely go for. Especially because I do have days when I cook just for the sake of cooking and the end of it the food isnt tasting great. This would really help me
That’s a really interesting idea. Probably I wouldn’t buy it but for sure there is a lot of people that would like it. I think people that lost their taste during covid will love this spoon.
