With the rise in popularity of Virtual Reality (VR), this is a significant step forward, since the tools used by video game developers and film producers to generate high-quality virtual content are now available to businesses and charities at the multi-million pound complex.
One of the advantages of working with extended reality is that it allows companies to host and attend events without having to travel. For example, one could have a business meeting in a neighbouring country and in a normal situation, would have to travel out but with VR, one could attend the business meeting from wherever one is, thus significantly reducing carbon footprint.
Hence, I believe that VR is the future and an exciting space to be.
I just can’t imagine how many industries virtual reality centres could revolutionise. For instance let’s think about fashion world. In the future every celebrity, fashion icon or influencer could attend a fashion show without actually leaving their countries. Another example can be related to the real estate market. VR centres give the possibility of viewing a property without seeing it in real life. Can you imagine buying your future house that way?
Yeah, I also think that the latest development in VR and XR brought a lot of new opportunities for many industries. However, from my experience, I know one serious problem about mass adoption of VR meetings – human nature. When I tried joining a VR conference meeting with the headsets, some people needed to leave it due to filling dizzy. Having a monitor that close to eyes is not healthy and not every body can handle it. Do you think that VR will solve this problem someday?
