Kanye West, the rapper, fashion designer and firebrand increasingly known for divisive cultural and political commentary that has been called racist, appears set to become the owner of a social media service known for its right-wing audience.
Last week, the star’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were blocked, after he posted anti-Semitic messages. Parler is used mainly by US conservatives, and describes itself as a “free speech”. Buying a social network is unlikely to block you in it.
Ye “will never have to fear being removed from social media again”, chief executive George Farmer posted.

It says: “Under the terms of their agreement in principle, the parties intend to conclude a final purchase agreement and plan to close it in the fourth quarter of 2022.”
The transaction will include “ongoing technical support” from the company.
Parler struggled to maintain his relevance in recent months, following the explosion of growth following the 2020 US election.
According to Sensor Tower, the app was downloaded 90,000 times last month globally, compared to 9 million downloads for Twitter.
Ye – who changed his name in 2021 – wrote: “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves.”
Maybe buying this social media he will finally calm down.
Many mainstream US conservative figures, including politicians and broadcasters, have accounts.
Parler hopes that the popularity of Kanye will increase and popularity of the app too. According to the idea downloads should increase and therefore increase turnover of the company. Let’s see what will happen in the future.

I don’t think that Ye knows the difference between “conservative” and “offensive” because his words towards, for example, Jewish people were offensive. Also, I think that he will never calm down unless he starts to treat his bipolar disorder. He always wants to be at the center of attention which is why he always makes something controversial, like recently changing on Instagram his profile picture to his ex-mom-in-law. Moreover, investing money in Parler will make him go bankrupt. Maybe he is famous for now, but society knows him not for his good actions, but for bad and therefore will cancel him soon so the app won’t be that popular and won’t make profits.
