I think that everybody watched or at least heard something about the famous american “The Matrix” franchise. This trilogy was created and written by the Wachowskis, the first part was released in 1999 year. The first film is considered as one of the best in 20th century and even throughout the history of film industry. This franchise is also known for the incredible at that moment visual effects, that were some kind of innovation in industry. The main plot describes a future in which reality perceived by humans is actually the Matrix, a simulated reality created by sentient Machines in order to pacify and subdue the human population while their bodies’ heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source.
So the most important questions: “Will AI really conquer the Earth?” “How can we avoid it?” “Is this world real?”.
To answer these questions you need to understand what is the Matrix. So the Matrix is a substitute for reality, where computer gives a false life, proving that he has adopted their worst traits very well. Artificial intelligence began to rule the sloppy human civilization. In essence, people themselves are to blame: they have turned from personalities into “users”, from an independent biological species into batteries, a raw material appendage of gadgets. Now one can only marvel at the brilliant perspicacity of the directors who foresaw the development of the situation, which we can see 23 years later.
I keep my opinion unchanged: the humanity is not so stupid to lose control of our planet. But you can not except that we are living not in the illusion, because if we are, we wouldn’t have guessed.
Nowadays I can associate the Matrix with the people, who are being imposed with some narratives, that are used to control your mind, to make you a slave in the system. “It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth” – the famous Morpheus’ speech.

The science fiction film that someday can become a documentory one, makes us to think what the reality is, makes us to choose whether you would like to stay blind or open your eyes.
