For all Spotify users, it is the most wonderful time of the year and it is not caused by Christmas! Spotify Wrapped is your summary of what have you listened to throughout the year. It is a pretty fascinating time of the year when you compare your stats to the others and you get to know your listening habits. Also, it shows data about the top artist, the most popular song or album and how many minutes you spend listening to Spotify.
Changes in Spotify Wrapped 2022
This year we could discover new features in our wrapped. First of all, let’s start with your listening personality. Spotify came up with 16 types of listening personalities!
The Adventurer is someone who is always looking for new artists, songs or genres.
The Early Adopter follows the music trends and he knows every new song that comes out.
The Deep Diver is someone who dives very deep into artists’ catalogues and keeps in mind every sound he came across.
The Devotee is someone who truly loves one artist and knows his songs word for word.
The Replayer listens to songs, and artists he likes over and over again.
The Connoisseur is someone whose musical taste is proven by popularity and time.
The Maverick does not listen to mainstream and prefers some underground artists.
The Fan Clubber supports his favourite artist with his full heart.
The Top Charter follows the top charts and knows top songs word for word.
The Enthusiast is a huge supporter of his favourite artist and when new albums come out he is the first to listen to it.
The Time Traveler seeks out music that is new to him, without caring if it is new to others.
The Musicologist ‘’an aficionado of sound”, knows old and new hits.
The Nomad listens to everything, but when he finds his favourite artists he sticks to them forever.
The Voyager expands his world with music.
The Jukeboxer loves a few songs and is always excited to listen to them.
The Specialist is very selective with his artists, but when he likes the artist he is all in.
The second feature is ‘’Your Missed Hits 2022’’. It recommends some songs that you have skipped and are similar to your music taste throughout this year. The third thing is a short video from your favourite artist. Unfortunately, not all of them recorded the video, but some of them did and I think it is a nice way to build some connection between the artist and listener. Not only artists participated in short videos, but thanks to the contract between Spotify and FC Barcelona, stars like Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, and Alexia Putellas also took a part in the videos. The last feature is located in Roblox. As Spotify has its Island they made a specific one dedicated to Wrapped. It is called Spotify Island: WonderWrapped. Also, some older features were still developed like your own playlist with the Top 100 songs you have listened to, playlists such as Top artists of 2022, Top groups of 2022, etc.
