Share the post "WHO IS LEX FRIDMAN? THE POTENTIAL MAN TO TAKE ON THE CEO ROLE OF TWITTER"

With Elon Musk’s latest twitter poll being in favor of him leaving, the major question that has aroused from it is who is qualified and willing to take on what could be considered as one of the most agonizing vacancies in the social media industry today.
Lex Fridman, an MIT Research Scientist who also has his own podcast on which he has had many famous guests on, some being Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Kanye West, and Elon himself.
A couple of days back Fridman tweeted “Let me run Twitter for a bit. No salary. All in. Focus on great engineering and increasing the amount of love in the world. Just offering my help in the unlikely case it’s useful.”
However, Musk’s response was quite quick and negative, “You must like pain a lot. One catch: you have to invest your life savings in Twitter and it has been in the fast lane to bankruptcy since May. Still want the job?”
Lex Fridman responded by saying, “Yes. We’ll turn it around.”
Many might ask the question, who really is Lex Fridman?
Fridman is a Ukrainian-Jewish AI Researcher with an interest in Robotics, a topic he often discusses on his show. At Google, where he worked on machine learning, Fridman began his professional career. He currently works as a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2017, he worked on computer vision, deep learning, and scheduling algorithms for semi-autonomous vehicles. Deep learning, personal robots, autonomous vehicle development, and human-centered artificial intelligence research are some of the most recent advancements in his field of study.
I think it is important to note that Fridman can be considered a friend of Musk’s, having him on the show more than once and in both episodes, they spoke of times they spent together off camera. In this specific context this can be valuable information as Musk wouldn’t want to hand over an enterprise that will completely fail on his friend. This is just an assumption, and it could be terribly wrong, however this friendship could potentially decide the future of one of the biggest social networks in the world.
Who would you want to see run twitter?
