The first robot lawyer will start his job next month. This AI lawyer is brainchild company called DoNotPay. His first assignment will relate to traffic ticket. Defendant will only say things that AI suggest him. According to the NY Post ,,Should they lose the case, DoNoPay has agreed to cover any fines, according to the company’s founder and CEO, Joshua Browder.” [1]

How it works?
It is an application for smartphones that everyone can download. AI listens to case and immediately tells the defendant what to say by cans. It sounds simple, isn’t it?
Why was it created?
According to the DoNotPay their mission is ,,to level the playing field and make legal information and self-help accessible to everyone.”[2] For me it sounds a little bit utopian, but I hope that I am wrong and in the near future it will be accessible for everyone.
But there is one significant question. How good this software will be? We will find out that by the end of the next month when the first case will be over. Until then we just have to wait and imagine what court hearings will be like when this robot proves to be effective.
Would you like to have access to this software in the future, if necessary? Let me know in the comments ?

Soon human jobs really might be replaced with AI. Probably there will be a replacement of job Ai will take some and it will give jobs.
In my opinion it may be a solution for simple cases like traffic ticket, however in cases when jury is involved, the robot may struggle to play on their emotions as it’s usually done to convince them. But maybe AI will receive the emotional intelligence in the future and will be also useful in more complex cases.
In my opnion, use of ai in law system, as well as in courts, could be used in light cases, which would make the whole process faster. Also, some cases that can be easily corrupted, would be just solved by ai using common sense. However, when it comes to heavy cases like murders, robberies etc. there has to be a human (judge) that decides about it. It’s the level of fairness and kind of tradition, that has to be kept…. Even though AI has a great impact on people worldwide, it shouldn’t be used in few areas of human life.
I think the concept of the use of artificial intelligence in the law sector is an interesting solution, especially when it comes to getting specific knowledge and information about cases, which are difficult to understand by people who do not possess sufficient knowledge in area of law and court. Although, AI may not be able to solve more complex cases, for example about human life or relations, human lawyers will state more accurate judgements, because of better understanding of certain circumstances and reading emotions. Very interesting post.
In my opinion a robot lawyer will not be around any time soon, being a lawyer requires other skills than just knowing the penal code. While AI for sure knows the law better than any human, I don’t think it could solve more complex law cases, concerning many unrelated factors and human behavior.
I totally understand the concerns that arise with the emergence of more and more advanced AI technologies, and even though AI will definitely replace many jobs in the future, I think that the law industry will not be hurt that much. What is required from lawyers is the application of law taking into account the human nature and their emotions. AI is not capable of doing that, at least not in the foreseeable future, so I don’t think that robot lawyers will overtake human lawyers.
I think that this is very cool, most likely this AI will not be able to fully replace a lawyer, but finding out the law without contacting a lawyer in 2 clicks is very cool. On the Internet, you need to look for articles and so on, and AI will be able to tell you everything that interests you specifically for your situation, it’s amazing!
If we talk about the prospect of using this technology in the future, then I would take advantage of such an offer. In the field of legislation and law, it is important to analyze the whole situation, taking into account human descriptions and working with people as well, cunning in the work of a lawyer is also important, so I would trust would be in this case AI.
