ChatGPT has been a word on everyone’s lips in the past few months. We are not stopping to be amazed by the incredible abilities of this program. Some use it as a fast research tool, while others generate essays, articles, and other writing assignments in order to get over with their projects quickly. And there is no doubt that this famous text generator deals with those tasks brilliantly. But how good really is ChatGPT? Does it have more to offer than providing well-prepared pieces of information in naturally and professionally written form? That had been the question going around Dr. Alex Berezows’s head, and he decided to test it himself.

Having a Ph.D. in microbiology, this well-renowned scientist decided to conduct a 10-question test of his discipline with a level of difficulty optimal for people with a master’s in Biology and after a course in microbiology.
And the results were incredible. Questions that Dr. Alex Berezows constructed, obviously demanded deep scientific knowledge but that is something we could anticipate ChatGPT is going to handle with ease. However, the trap was set somewhere else. The idea was to ask questions that clearly demanded the algorithm to present essential and the most important information about a given subject.
Here is an example:
Question: In five words or less, what is the point of Koch’s postulates?
Answer: Establish causality between microbe and disease.
The ability to synthesize knowledge, choose pivotal information, and skip those that are not key to understanding a given topic is a true game changer. This and many other functions are the reason why ChatGPT is currently the best text-generating program in the world. And that is the reason why companies like Microsoft might want to invest in OpenAI (the start-up that created ChatGPT) for around 10 billion dollars.
So how good is ChatGPT and how it can be used? Well, that is something that no one really knows. One of the main reasons OpenAI decided to give open access to this algorithm worldwide was to find some answers to those questions. What we know now, is that this program is really good and it is safe to say that it has surpassed by far all the expectations. So what is next for OpenAI? We will find out soon enough.

The pace of advancement in technology and AI is just sometimes unbelievable and such technologies as ChatGPT can potentially disrupt entire industries. As it was mentioned in the post, it is a very smart language processing model, and it can give responses to really complicated questions in a matter of seconds. I would also like to give an example of a problem Chat GPT was presented with by Jordan Peterson: “Write me an essay that’s a 13th rule for the book Beyond Order, written in a style that combines the King James Bible with the Tao Tai Ching”. And it wrote in about 3 seconds, 4 pages long. The least I can say about it is that it really is fascinating and somewhat alarming. These types of technologies can make people working in industries such as journalism and copywriting negligible. And also it could seriously harm the universities and the reputation of traditional way of learning.
openai is really very good; I agree with the author that he generates great articles and can be a source of ideas. I tried this AI and was surprised by its capabilities; he could even write a simple ping pong in python. I think this may cause harmful products in the future as people will be less creative.
ChatGPT is a significant development that holds great potential for businesses. Those who recognize its significance and act quickly will have a major advantage, particularly as ChatGPT is just the beginning of many similar chatbots that will soon be available, with their capabilities improving rapidly each year.
Chat GPD is really on the agenda recently,I persanally learned about it and became interested in this topic. But there are many nuances that people close their eyes to,because they are very impressed by the development of AI. For example, cheating in educational institutions. In any case,we will monitor the situation, because it deserves attention.
Thank you for your article. It was very interesting for me to read about the Dr. Alex Berezows’s experiment. I have in some measure discovered the abilities of the AI by myself, but I have never heard about such deep analyses. So, it seems like even though now ChatGPT is mostly used for more mundane and easy tasks in the future, it can be used for more complicated tasks. In my opinion, AI is the future, and in several years it will take place even in such complicated things as scientific researches and so on.
Interesting article, I didn’t know that chatGPT is able to summarize and analyze knowledge so effectively. I will personally try this function in my own work to draw conclusions more efficiently. This program is a great tool and I look forward to more of it’s improvements.
