Legal and echical problems with AI
Legal Concerns
Suno has faced legal scrutiny, including a lawsuit from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) due to alleged copyright issues. The AI technology is questioned for potentially using copyrighted material without proper licensing, raising concerns about fair use and intellectual property rights.
Ethical Implications
The ability to create music that mimics existing styles can lead to ethical issues, especially if used to imitate specific artists or styles too closely. Although Suno includes watermarking to prevent misuse, the risk remains in user-generated content.

Our AI-Generated Blues Song Went Viral — and Sparked Controversy
It seems to me that using AI to develop music requires not only technical, but also legal and ethical solutions. Ultimately, artificial intelligence opens up huge prospects for music, but it requires us to take a conscious approach to its use and respect human contributions to art. Therefore, I think that it is necessary to develop this area and improve it, complementing it with restrictions related to copyright.
This is a huge story, and I’m surprised I haven’t heard of Suno before. If the technology becomes truly advanced and widespread, it might really have a huge impact on the music industry. And so I am wondering what will happen in terms of song credits. Is the AI credited, or is their creator? What about royalties and awards? Will we have Grammys for robots in 2035? I’m probably exaggerating, but it’s interesting to turn on our imagination and think about what the future might bring. Are we ready for a world of entertainment like that? Will we be able to tell which songs are AI generated? Maybe it’s a start of re-thinking what do we truly value in the music we enjoy.
