    This is a very interesting take, but I wouldn’t say that the disadvantages of GMOs definitely outweigh the advantages. There definitely are many, and the ones you listed, I agree with, however there are a few more advantages not yet mentioned! First of all, the use of GMO can eliminate known allergens from certain foods, which can allow many people to enjoy meals they previously couldn’t. Second of all, modifications in fruit and vegetables can lead to their longer shelf life, which I believe is vital in today’s world, when so many people are hungry yet so much food is being thrown out. Perhaps instead of pushing a debate between an absolute ‘yes’ and an absolute ‘no’, we can focus on finding some middle ground, and carefuly assessing which methods and types of GMO are beneficial, and which are harmful.
