AI such as chatGPT has became a significantly important aspect of human education. The way the student is gaining knowledge or writing knowledge on a piece of paper has become different than in the old days. Furthermore it can give the teachers lots of help in organising and planning lessons. Basingstoke College of Technology in Hampshire has acknowledged this fact where the principle Mr Anthony Bravo commented: ” students would be foolish if they wouldn’t use it.”
This AI world we live in actually requires students to easily use AI as in their future jobs they everybody will use it. In someway this makes students have better factual information which causes to them to be efficient in their schools or workplace. But on the other hand it is important that they dont use it to write their assignments that should take couple of hours but AI does it in literally 2 minutes. They could use it to have a starting point of an assignment this can as already mentioned make them more efficient and reliable.
The question is if it is a step to far? Or we need to adapt the students as the future will be different? In my opinion we have to notice how fast the AI industries all over the world are growing especially in China and the US. This might cause a demand from firms for their workers to use AI which might actually mean that teachers should show secondary and high school students how to use it properly.
This is what is meant by the incoming tide as if we wont adapt even secondary students the tide will wash you over. The world has changed as a whole which definitely will result in a change in education around the world.

AI is reshaping education. Students should learn to use it since it will shape their future. But if they let AI do all the work, they will miss out on critical thinking and real learning. The key is using it as a tool, not a shortcut.
AI like ChatGPT is transforming education, offering efficiency and future-ready skills. However, it’s crucial students use it as a tool, not a shortcut, to maintain critical learning. Adapting to this change is essential for the evolving world of education
