Jaguar and Land Rover are to Refuse from Internal Consumption Engines in 2025

It is generally known nowadays rapid technology changes are becoming closely related to the world automobile market. Electric cars are the ones that are expected to replace common cars operated on conventional petrol, at least we are moving to it with giant strides. One of the first companies that made its bet for electric transport is Tesla, and they have become the leader of the market so far. However, many other associations saw the great success of Elon Musk’s company and decided to keep up.

One of those companies is the “Jaguar Land Rover” corporation. The British company announced their plan to leave the “petrol” market till 2025 and start their own production in the electric car industry. For the next 5 years, the company is to move Jaguar as well as their prime-segment models into fully eco-engines. It is worth noticing Jaguar has already produced an electric model (Jaguar I-Pace) which has a great success in the electric-cars market. Anyway, it is hard to imagine an electric version of Jaguar PROJECT-8.

Also “Jaguar Land Rover” company is planning to introduce six fully electric Land Rover models by the end of 2025, having no electric cars in their model-list right now. The first electric Land Rover is planned for 2024. It is also remarkable that 60% of Land Rover cars to be sold will be equipped with electric power units till the end of 2030. Till the same time, all Land Rover models will be presented in both variants – fully electric and with an internal consumption engine.

Besides, the company is planning to reject using diesel engines in all Jaguar and Land Rover models till the end of 2026.

Toyota is about to introduce an electric car being charged in 10 mins!

Toyota, being one of the most significant Japanese car producers, is not an exception! The company has been experimenting with solid-state batteries since 2017 and is planning to present its newest technology on the mass market. All in all, their work is likely to be done in the shortest terms, as the car presentation with the new technology applied was planned for the middle of the next year.

According to Nikkei Asia, one of the largest financial newspapers, the car of Toyota will be possible to go 500 km with the battery fully charged. What is more compelling – only 10 minutes are needed to charge the battery from 5% to 90%. However, the information was given on the prototype, so the situation may be quite different as well as captivating than it was before.

Usually, it takes around 2 years to make a realization of a car prototype, but no one knows how much time is needed to create a totally new project of an electric car operated with an unknown type of tracking batteries, which are planned to be used in Toyota electric models of a new type.

There are lots of electric car advantages in comparison with the regular ones, though they are much more expensive in production. The batteries of this kind are predicted to be of use in automobiles in 2025, but if Toyota manages to start such a car production, it will make a giant step in electro car market promotion.

OnePlus 9 Pro – new Android-powered flagman | OnePlus lures buyers away from Samsung

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe latest information accounts for OnePlus stated this April they are going to present the new OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. However, the company made a decision to move its presentation to mid-March 2021 due to Samsung Galaxy S21 presentation to be hold on 14 January 2021.

Also, Jeremy Smith (AKA “Concept Creator”) – a Dutch 3D designer, used the materials of OnePlus 9 Pro given by the company to create a 3D model of a new smartphone.

The new OnePlus flagman, as it is informed, will get a 6,7-inch Fluid Amoled display with QHD+ resolution, rounded sides, and a fingerprint scanner that will be inserted into the display. And some good information to cheer up mobile gamers – it will get 120Hz refresh rate.

The front camera with 32Mp resolution will be in the upper left smartphone’s corner. Talking about main cameras, OnePlus 9 will get quad-cam, while 5x optical zoom. Besides, the phone will be provided with stereo drivers with Dolby Atmos sound.

The most interesting part of the phone is its processor and it is a top-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. Certainly, there will be two versions of the phone: 8Gb RAM + 128Gb memory and 12Gb RAM + 256Gb memory. A 65-watt quick charge will be included in both versions.

According to the latest news, such a presentation transfer is made to attract some of Galaxy S21 customers’ attention to the new OnePlus 9 Pro. OnePlus is a great figure on the Android-powered smartphone market, just like Samsung. It provides smartphones with great power, however, the price of OnePlus smartphones is lower than Samsung’s (the recommended price for OnePlus 9 is 700 euro, and 900 euro for the Pro version), and such a presentation rescheduling might work out well for OnePlus.

96-core AMD processors – the new era of high performance!

It is informed that the next generation of AMD processors will be the last one to be based on AM4 socket.  All future desktop products are going to be on Zen 4 architecture, will have 5nm process, and therefrom, the new socket with a temporary unknown name is going to be presented.

However, the fact of getting more than 16 cores sounds to be not the best idea, talking about desktop versions, as there is Ryzen 9 5950X (it has 16 cores, 32 streams) that still do not fit into the market greatly with its $800 price, whereas server processors have no strict frames for performance. The source from Reddit says, that after MILAN (Zen 3), there will be GENOA (Zen 4) that will really get more than 64 cores. Also, it was stated, Zen 4 would have the SMT feature, which accounts for it to be supplied with twice more streams than cores and if we are to believe the very information under consideration, top-segment GENOA processors will have 192 streams while 96 cores.

A bit earlier, there was the data leak, that informed us about AMD to start with the new SMT4 feature for Zen 4 processors, what witnesses the possibility to have 4 streams for each core. The very feature gives much bigger opportunity to those, who are interested in 3D-modeling, video editing, online streams, or other highly demanding processes. Unfortunately, AMD decided to have this idea, at least for GENOA.

It is planned those 96 cores are to be placed on 12 chip plates, so there still will be 8 cores on each chip plate. And as for GENOA, it will support PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory. Such processors are expected at the end of 2021, the date of the end of 2022 is also regarded as possible.

Mobile gamers hate iPhone 12 series

Reading Time: 2 minutesRecently Apple has presented their new products – iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro. However, many users are unhappy about the new line of the company, though they even got the new A14 Bionic core inside all of their models.

The problem is Apple decided to decrease the battery capacity of all 12 series devices, but according to the information given on the official website, the number of working hours didn’t change in comparison with iPhone 11 series. Unfortunately, when the situation comes to 3D-gaming sessions, the issue has become even more perceptible.

According to the Phone Arena 3D Gaming Battery Test results, iPhone 11 can be playable 2,5 times longer than the new flagman of the Apple company, where iPhone 11 can stay out of charge for more than 7,5 hours and iPhone 12 can be used for only 3 hours. This fact neglects the user experience of using A14 Bionic, to the side of its previous version. What is the most striking, that iPhone 11 can handle even more time without charging, than its higher brother iPhone 11 Pro.

However, many mobile gamers search for playing on non-iOS phones, as Android-powered phones give them more opportunities and better gaming experience. For example, if you look at the top segment of Android phones, you will be highly interested in using Xiaomi Mi10 Pro, that can handle around 10 hours of gaming, and Samsung Galaxy S20 (and it’s FE version), with more than 8 hours no-charging gaming, as these phones are completed with powerful 8-core processors (Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 for Xiaomi and Exynos 990 for Samsung).

Concerning regular users, iPhone 12 Pro, surprisingly, is on the top of the PhoneArena Browsing Battery test, but still stays lower than Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and Google Pixel 5.

Generally speaking, I would not recommend buying iPhone 12 series for those, who use their phone mostly for playing games, but for those, who prefer style over high performance it will really be a great choice!

AMD Radeon RX 6000 series – the new player on a top-level GPUs field

Reading Time: 2 minutesIn case new reference AMD graphics cards are going to be presented on the 28-th of October and unreferenced ones will be in the middle of November (including Sapphire Nitro and Asus Strix), there is some inside information about the new Radeon RX 6000 series. Will it finally be a worthy competition between Nvidia and AMD or it’s just a new view at old graphic cards?

There was a leak of a code for macOS Big Sur that includes the characteristics of the future flagman AMD graphic cards, and now it is possible to know the power of three new GPUs. Their code-names are Navi 21, Navi 22 and Navi 23. According to the data, the number of counting units will be 80 for Navi 21, 40 for Navi 22 and 32 for Navi 23. Also, programmers told the approximate number of threads for each processor, it’s 5120 for the most powerful variant, 2560 for the middle one and 2048 for the lowest. The frequency of every GPU will be hesitating from 2GHz to 2.5GHz, when the factory new Nvidia RTX3000 series GPU frequency is about 2 times lower (from 1,4GHz to 1.7GHz).

However, the quantity of power the “red” cards need is even lower than for their “green” colleagues. The code says that the XT version of Navi 21, will need around 320W for reference graphic card and around 355W for unreferenced models while it is almost 290W for the XL version in comparison with 370W for RTX3080. However, there is no information about the memory of the cards in the code, but some programmers assume that it will get about 16Gb of memory that will work at 16GHz speed, while, for example, RTX3080 is working with 10Gb of memory and 19GHz speed.

Taking into account all the characteristics of the Radeon RX 6000 series, we can predict that it might be almost of the same power as the RTX3000 series. But knowing the AMD company, the price will definitely be cheaper and this is what will attract customers more.
