Polish bank, Pekao S.A. announced that during this weekend (18-20 November) they will be doing some necessary work in their system. It’s connected to Pekao S.A. – Idea Bank merger that was forced by the BFG (Banking Guarantee Fund). All clients will be transferred and be served by Pekao employees. Therefore, it requires serious work with the Pekao system.
Technical break is a result of neccesary work regarding transfer of Idea Bank S.A. clients. From 3.00 PM on 20th November to 12.00 AM on 21st November, Pekao24, PeoPay and Pekao24Makler apps will not be available. Also from 10.00 PM on 19th November to 6.00 AM on 22nd November, the PekaoBiznes24 and PekaoConnect services won’t be accesable.Bank Pekao S.A. announcement
It creates a serious problem for both individual and business clients of the bank. No one will be able to do any online transactions, BLIK payments, or internet banking. Pekao S.A. assures that card payments in brick and mortar shops and ATMs will be working. But a lot of things can happen during the technical break.
