BMW i Vision Dee. Automotive future, or massive flop?

All worldwide car brands are introducing their new, concept, future-looking vehicles, which in future may replace the cars we know and see today.

The all new BMW “I VISION Dee” is a completely next level. One of the most popular car manufacturer introduced a new concept car, which has more to do with a robot, or AI machine, rather than a car that goes forward and changes the gears.

DEE, which stands for “Digital Emotional Experience” has various types of new technology included, which we wouldn’t even consider thinking of as of now.

What exactly is so unique about this concept vehicle?

Well, many people consider this car as a one straight from a metaverse, or video game “Cyberpunk 2077”. But it’s not the looks that are impressive here. Let’s start with a new technology. BMW introduced a possibility to change the colour of the car in any way possible.

BMW introduced option for users to choose from 32 different colors. Moreover, the car will also have option of mixing and matching the colours, because of 240 different panel segments that the vehicle has on the body.

Another technology is new infotainment system, that will be all over the car’s cockpit. New systems of hardware and software allow BMW to spread whole touchscreen along the car’s dashboard, as well as various head ups displays on windshield that would cover all space.

In my opinion, those concept cars are very futuristic, and it is a long way for them to look like this. However, because of today’s such quick development and “rush into the future” it is likely that such scenario may occur in the next 20 years. All manufacturers now have an EV rally, but next stage will be fully autonomous cars. I think such concept the BMW is giving out to the people, is very innovative, but needs some time for the people to adapt to such product, as many of the people still rely on classic, one colored, combustion engine vehicles, that aren’t stuffed with technology so much. Such move of producing cars that are changing the colors, will remove a lot of market segments like paint shops, vinyl wrap detailing shops, as well as many many more. Important thing is also – how long such car with that huge amount of technology, panels and electronics will last? Will it be 5 years? 10? 20? Maybe even more, like a reliable, never-breaking Ford F-150?

Twitter on a way to lose $4 billion a year, Tesla closes at $150. End of Elon Musk as CEO?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

New details are leaked concerning the whole controversy around Elon Musk and his activities with Tesla Inc. and Twitter Inc.

On 19th December 2022, Tesla Inc. shares closed down below $150 – which is first time since October 2020. Compared with a YTD (Year To Date), all Tesla shares are down -57.5%. Elon Musk, again got rid of $3.6 billion dollars. Moreover, he now mainly focuses on the Twitter, a social media platform, a bit leaving Tesla to its own fate.

Those activities concerned Leo KoGuan, Tesla’s third largest individual investor and shareholder of a company, who know recalls and demands a new CEO as “Tesla needs and deserves to have working full time CEO” as well as “executioner, Tim Cook-like is needed, not Elon”.

Moreover, Elon Musk posted a Twitter pole lately, in which he asks people whether he should step down as a head of Twitter. He also mentioned that he will “abide by the results of this poll”. 57.5% of people voted for “yes” meaning that he may be stepping down soon. It is also said that Twitter is on a good track of loosing around $4 billion per year as a result of activities such as banning journalists, weird verification subscription plans or many good advertisers who left this platform.

“As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it”

Musk commented after the poll was released. He also mentioned that “No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor” That may suggest that Elon Musk is trying to step down from a CEO position, but it’s a difficult task, as there is no one to take his place.

In my opinion, Elon Musk is a great leader, we can compare his case to the case of Steve Jobs. He invented something great, and was able to make a history with his products, just like Jobs did with the Apple. But as of now, I agree with statement of KoGuan Leo that Tesla needs “An executioner, Tim Cook-like is needed, not Elon” meaning that someone is needed who can scale up the company, and take it to next level, just like mr. Cook did to Apple.

Also, mr. Musk already took to many things in his hands, as he is now a CEO of 3 gigants: SpaceX, Tesla and Twitter.

However, I also think that he is a great leader that created two of world’s best known companies and he greatly knows how to lead them. Because of current circumstances, most of the companies worldwide are suffering badly, so that may be the one reason of such low prices of Tesla Inc. stocks and problems around Twitter. In the future, I think that Musk may turn Twitter into world’s largest social platform that will last for centuries for human specie (as this is his goal) as well as improve Tesla’s market performance just when the times will be slightly better.

Will 6G give China complete advantage over the world?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Huawei is now beginning it’s development of all new 6G network. As 5G already exists, the companies are now rushing to all new generation of network.

After the 5G telecom technology have been introduced, mobile giants like Huawei are now battling for a newest generation – sixth.

Many companies are competing for a newest possible technology. It is done not only in order to gain advantage on a technological background, but also on a geopolitical one. As China became very influential after introducing the 3G and 4G (LTE), the 6G would be a real deal. It would introduce a new level of technology on telecom market. Because of that, it is said that it would most likely gain even higher political and economical size and influence as it is right now.

Western economies such as USA are concerned as the rally begins very fast. They now want to introduce any regulations that would reduce the amount of competition in order to somehow reduce the China’s advantage.

COSTS

Firstly, 6G technology which is now created by companies such as Huawei, as well as the availability of suitable infrastructure in other countries may limit its ability to give China a complete advantage. What is more is that the attitudes of governments towards 6G adoption will also play a significant role in determining whether or not it gives any country an overall advantage.

In conclusion, while 6G may provide some level of competitive advantage for China, it is not likely to be enough to give it a complete control over other countries. Very important factor is also government policies which also play an important role in the development of the technology and its ultimate impact on global competitiveness.

REGULATIONS

Many regulatory aspects related to 6G technologies must be considered. Huawei is expected to deliver its final product by 2030. By this time, the whole world has to be technically prepared in order to enter new way of technology generation. Many issues such as spectrum allocation, national security, privacy and data protection has to be considered. These regulatory issues need to be addressed in order to ensure the successful adoption of 6G technologies in different countries around the world.

The real question is…. Will China gain the power and influence over the world by introducing 6G technology into the life?

In my opinion – not so much. Meanwhile 6G may provide some competitive advantage for China, it is unlikely to give it a complete control and influence over other countries.

Therefore, other nations will also have to ensure their citizens have access to the best 6G technologies by performing various amounts of research and development, investment in infrastructure as well as regulations. This is likely to be a challenging but necessary for most countries who are willing to stay competitive in the digital world. Ultimately, it could be argued that 6G technology will play an increasingly important role in global competitiveness and that all countries should strive to ensure their citizens have access to the latest advancements in this field. With the right foundations in place, 6G could be a major force for global progress in the years to come.

What is your point of view on that?

You thinl Huawei will beat Apple with their new technology?

Will China be the main competitor and be better than USA?

Thank you for reading through this article. Let me know about your thoughts in the comments. Enjoy!

Could Twitter Go Bankrupt By Their Yearly $13 Million Food Service?

New controversial informations are leaked, after the fresh acquisition of Twitter Inc. by CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company – Elon Musk

Because of his well known leadership, managing, and very harsh working conditions new contradictions are coming out to the light of the day concerning the new order set up in Twitter San Francisco HQ.

After firing top managers and workers of Twitter Inc. Elon Musk now raised an issue about Twitter’s big expenditure on employees’ lunches. It is stated that Twitter is spending $13 million on food service every year. Ms Tracy Hawkins, a former VP of Work transformation, who ran a food program, stated that Twitter spent between $20-$25 a day per person, so that they can work properly throughout the whole day. She also stated that attendance rate was ranging between 20-50% in offices.

There is a lot of controversy and hate directed to Elon Musk, for taking away ‘free’ food from workers, and forcing them to pay for it. Many people resigned from the jobs right after Twitter Inc. was taken over.

However, I personally do not agree with those statements. Even though Mr. Musk is known for squeezing last juices of their workers, while saving as much as possible, I find his activities very appropriate. During 2021, Twitter generated a revenue of $5 billion, which was an increase of +35% comparing to year 2020 – it was mainly a revenue from advertising. Even though Twitter generated such great revenue, it reported a net loss of $221 million. In 2020 the amount of loss Twitter generated was $1.1 billion.

Twitter’s net income from 1st quarter 2012 to 2nd quarter 2022 (in million U.S. dollars)

The real question is….. Isn’t it better to cut unnecessary costs and make such big and good platform actually profitable and successful? In my personal opinion, the approach of Elon Musk is just the right path of accomplishing this goal. Of course, serving a free food in San Francisco HQ most likely was great for the workers, very ethical, as well as it probably gave them an energy to work, which was then put on an overall performance of the company. However, the attendance rate, which former VP mentioned was around 20-50% in reality – was just below 10% (25% was at its highest). Here is Musks response:

It is said that many Twitter workers just prefer to work remotely, which makes the HQ food service even more useless. I highly agree with Musks response, as his reaction to the whole situation. By reducing the food service in Twitter’s San Francisco HQ, the company will not only reduce the amount of wasted food, but moreover, save a lot of money, which could be invested into further development of the company as well as decrease the final loss (and maybe eventually make Twitter Inc. a profitable company longterm).

Evaluating, I think that without Elon Musk and his acquisition, Twitter Inc. could possibly go bankrupt in future, with such losses, which were noted more years than profits. Also, charging workers for food service may bring additional revenue, which the can be invested into lots of other sectors of the company.

Elon Musk investigated by feds because of $44 Billion Twitter deal

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Credit: Britta Pedersen / Getty Images

New informations are shared about Elon Musk and his $44 billion takeover deal of Twitter Inc.

CEO & founder of Tesla Inc. has been sued after cancelling his Twitter Inc. purchase. He proposed a price of $54.20 per share back in April, which he now has to fulfill, as Twitter’s lawsuit made in July forces Mr. Musk to close his deal with a proposed price per share.

Because of Elon Musks’ decision, Tesla shares decreased significantly, as CEO of Tesla sold around 9 billion$ of company’s shares, as a portion of money which would be used to finalize the deal.

It is said that Musks’ lawyers refused to hand over documents to Twitter, which they reffered to as a “investigative privilege“.

After few months, in September, all documents have been handed in – including a specific “drafts of a 13 May email to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – the American regulator which enforces the law against market manipulation.” as BBC news article states. There were also documents handed to FTC – Federal Trade Comission (which mission is to promote “antitrust law and consumer protection”).

However, Alex Spiro, who is Elon Musks’ attorney, stated that “Twitter’s court filing was a “misdirection“.”

He stated that “It is Twitter’s executives that are under federal investigation” which suggests that it is not about Elon Musk. After the statement, Twitter Inc. did not wanted to leave a comment.

Eventually, Elon Musk decided to get back with continuing and finalizing the deal. In early October, Twitter’s shares increased from ~42$ per share, to 52$, which is equivalent to 23% – as a result of Musks’ decision.

Thank you for reading through this article. Let me know in the comments if you think this whole ”Twitter vs. Musk” deal is a set-up or just a speculation? Also, are you on a side of Elon Musk or Twitter as a whole company? How would you like this whole situation to finish?
