Buzzfeed, a media and entertainment platform with a large online user base, has begun using AI in its signature quizzes. With this innovative technology, taking quizzes on the site will be a far more customized, engaging, and time-saving experience for its users. What’s more the companies stock blasted of by about 150%. Does this mean that businesses can now mention that they use AI and it will increase their stocks by quite a bit?

Buzzfeed now uses AI in their quiz creation process to aid with question and answer generation, data analysis, and user engagement tracking. Buzzfeed can now tailor its quizzes to each user by taking their preferences and use patterns into account, thanks to this innovation. KSTAR – Korean Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research

BMW iX FLOW – a colour changing car

On January 6th BMW, a German car manufacturer unveiled a colour changing concept car which goes by the name of BMW iX Flow at CES (Consumer Electronic Show) Las Vegas. One of the car’s main features is that one can switch between two colours, grey and white via the BMW app. This revolutionary implementation allows users to adapt the car’s exterior to the weather. If it’s a sunny day the car can turn its exterior to white in order to reflect sun rays which leads to giving the user a better riding experience by reducing the car’s heat absorbance, hence reducing the interior temperature. On the other hand, when the weather gets too cold, the user can change the car’s exterior to grey to absorb more sun rays and increase the interior temperature of the car, therefore improving the ride quality. Moreover, by using this colour changing feature, the car can also save energy by wasting less power on AC. 

According to different celebrities for example an Australian vlogger that goes by the name of ‘Super Blondie’ thinks the BMW iX Flow concept car is a revolutionary idea. Despite the high following of Supercar Blondie I disagree with a few of her points, with one being that the car will become very popular among the society in the near future. The truth is that the technology used in the BMW concept car is very time consuming to make as well as being very costly. The budget for the concept car was already way more than a standard version BMW iX. Therefore, it is highly unlikely cars as such will be driving around the world in large numbers in the near future.
