OnlyFans boom and their e-commerce model. How AI generated content takes over the platform.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Nowadays everyone knows about OnlyFans. But how does everything started? What is business model of the platform. How company became so successful on the market in less then 4 years. And what is going on on the platform now.

Let’s start with a brief introduction of the project. So what is OnlyFans? It is a social media platform where influencers can monetise audience by offering them special content. In 2016 digital entrepreneur Tim Stokley founded the platform. In its early phase, OnlyFans was a platform for creators to share exclusive content with people who were willing to subscribe and support the service. The service was similar with Patreon service but with the slight differences for example ability to subscribe to a free tier and receive free content. Another key difference was that Patreon prohibited adult content on his platform. In 2018 businessman Leonid Radvinsky bought 75% of the company. Insane boom happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. When business grew from millions of dollars to billions! Basically company became number 1 adult content provider in the web. And now platform wants to become more diverse platform. Where you not only receive adult content but also a culinary recipes or knowledges about the math.

Business model of OnlyFans is simple. We have subscription based business model which is different from other social medias. This model looks more like Netflix model where users must pay subscription fee to be able to watch a content that they like. Also ability to write a paid private message to the content creator was new at that time. The price of the subscription was in general between 5 and 15 dollars. Also there is additional option for tips. Platform charge 20% from income of the creators which they receive from the platform.

And now we came to the point when incredible innovation OnlyFans met another boom called AI. AI could help content creators to analyse and create more and better content for their followers. AI algorithms could analyse content which was made before with fans preferences and create new content based on the previous history. Photo, videos, texts all could be created by AI. Also creators could use AI to analyse their audience better. To analyse market or region where most income coming from to adapt their content better and to earn more money from it.

But also we have an issue of fake content creators who is going to make a deepfake content and sell it. OnlyFans have strict regulation about it. Every content creator need to go throw full varification process. But If person will be able to purchase data of the person and complete all verifications with it and then sell deepfake content to the audience of the millions of people. For now we did not hear any cases like this but with further development of AI technology it could become our reality.

To conclude, in my opinion business model like OF will be leading in the content monitization because of the fair payment to content creators. I could predict development of similar projects but more related to some specific areas like sport or science. Where people will pay for a subscription to receive unique knowledge from different kind of mentors. And for OF creators AI could become solution to stable, regular content. But on the other hand it could become a dangerous tool for fake content.

How AI is being used in war?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

We are living in the world driven by technologies. Recent boom of AI in the different niches forced many people to adapt to the new reality. In my blog I want to talk about how AI is being used in wars.

Usage of AI in drones.

Warfare changed a lot since last global conflict and technologies played huge roles in this changes. Let’s have a look on the conflict in the Ukraine. It is first modern war since a long long time where two opponents showing to the world how war has changed. Semi automatic and fully automatic drones became a common thing on the battlefield. More common for now is semi automatic drones which helps to find victim due to AI but human still needs to pull a trigger to be able to shot on target. But nowadays we start to hear more about fully automatic drones. This is type of drones which search for the target with a help of AI and also attack target without human putting a trigger. The main role of a human is to launch the drone to the sky and it will do his job. But this drones are still in development process. This kind of drones have their issue with recognition of the target. For example AI could be programmed in the way when drone sees a human with a gun, or a human with a enemy uniform AI will receive signals to attack this target. Fully automatic drones could become strong power in the near future. But the use of autonomous weapons raises many ethical questions, such as who is responsible for the actions of the weapon.

AI in cyberattacks and information wars.

Also the ways how people get information have changed. War now it is not only shooting from guns and artillery. Nowadays it is also informational war. Where which side controls information controls the war. With development of AI and all deep fakes opportunities where you can create a fake video of a human who gives a speech about military objects without going out from your room and even without a speaking with a person who is going to give this speech. I am not talking about photos, content where fake could be created even without AI implementation. Or other options of usage of AI in the war is cyberattacks. Systems with AI and machine learning capabilities could automatically search for vulnerabilities in enemy systems to exploit, while also detecting weaknesses in their own systems.

Decision making.

The most common way how to use AI in the warfare now is data analyse. Due to AI people can have access to more information. Data could be analysed much faster which helps humans to make faster and better decisions. With all gathered data from maps, satellite images, videos from drones and etc. AI helps to analyse informations and offer options how to solve different issues. AI is a tool which helps humans make better decisions. AI could not make decision on their own, but it could offer options for people which they can choose and try to built their own strategies based on the ideas which AI gave. AI is an assistant of future for generals.

Less harm to civilians and civil infrastructure.

So if AI helps us to analyse more and more date and helps us to come up with brilliant plans and ideas. It could also give more detailed information for military people so they could make their job less harmful for civilians. For example for hitting a target on the enemies territory which is located in the middle of the city. AI could plan best option for the attack, for example usage of the satellite images could help for decision with best time to launch an attack depends on the amount of civil people around.

Conclusion.

We can not stop development of technologies and their implementasion to the warfare. And from what we can see now AI is going to take over military industry in the near future. Maybe fantasy movies with robots fighting between each other to defend their country could become true?

Impact of the AI on labour market.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our life closely connected to the many different factors. Political, economical, ecological, technological. Every huge event in any specific field can have potential effect on other market or other industry.

How AI effect labour market.

Many analytics, scientist all around the word saying one simple thing. That in near 10-20 years more then 30% of jobs will have effect of the AI. But effect could be different. For example for low paid labour like driver, warehouse worker, custom service representative and etc for this types of job hard times may begin. Computers just could be better workers in terms of simple tasks. But there still will be jobs which could not be replaced with AI. Jobs like CEOs, lawyers, judges, HR managers, surgeons. Jobs were specific skills required in combination with decision making. Decision making aspect is the most valuable aspect of the human being in the battle with AI. On the other hand AI fully exclude factor of the human mistake. Also demand for vacancies like data scientist, AI programmer will increase significantly. So it has two sides of the coin. For some jobs AI is going to be murderer but for others great chance and opportunity.

Could we prepare for AI Impact on Job Labour?

And the answer is YES. We could collaborate with AI and achieve better results together. AI could show the way in which you need to work to achieve best results. To make it happened people need to cooperate with AI more, to understand mechanics and way how to better use it. Also gaining new skills which are more required for future cooperations could be monstrous. According to OECD, workers who successfully take advantage of AI gain better positions in the market. AI improve their intellectual activity—it doesn’t replace it. AI, like most technologies, will not be able to completely displace humans from the labor market.

Is potential of AI that huge to impact on markets?

And the answer is again yes. According to the financial resources prices of companies which invest their time and efforts in AI is growing as fast as possible. Annually companies have 5% growth of their market value. Investors are eager to invest in projects related to AI technology. This market has potential and power for insane growth.

Conclusion

AI will affect labor market heavily. AI won’t be able to submit all humans from their job. But jobs which do not required skills like decision making, could be potentially substituted with robot work. AI is just a tool for humans to use in their favor to achieve best performance with results.

AI in football. How technologies changing our favourite game.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Introduction.

Just imagine if we had technologies like now 40 years ago. When Diego Maradona scored his remarkable goal against England in the final match of the World Cup. Nobody would know about “The hand of God” in this case. Nowadays, technology plays a huge role in football. Also, with the development of AI, many processes and aspects of the game have changed. Let’s find out how technologies influence our favourite game.

Easier data gathering process = better results.

Every professional football club uses huge amounts of data during the preparation for the match. And obviously, AI integration in applications for football data gathering made a game change move in the industry. Before that, people were typing data by hand. For example, a team could gather data during the filming of the training session or match. Dozens of cameras film every move of the player during the match. In this way, AI gathers data about touches of the ball, distance of dribble, amount of successful and unsuccessful  tackles and more. All this data helps coaches to improve game plans and to show mistakes to the players.

AI helps to control the game.

Referees all around the world started to use the VAR system to review controversial moments of the game. But technologies never stop their development. In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for the first time, we saw an automatic offside system which shows the referee when players get to an offside position. So, in simple words, cameras in the stadium film the game and AI determines offside position during the team attack. The system sent a notification to the referee to watch that the player was offside. In my opinion, the referee’s job is going to be substituted by technology in the near future. We don’t need a referee any more to determine offside, so why do not we program robots to determine fouls or to give a yellow or red card?

How players fitness could be improved with AI?

STATSport is a company which uses AI to help players maximise their performance while avoiding injuries. STATSport sells vests for athletes and sports clubs which gather data about their movements, heart rate and other metrics during training/matches. This data is then used to generate personalized training plans for each player and to identify potential injury risks. I could see that soon, fitness coaches will have AI assistants which will provide unique training programs for athletes.

Fan engagement on La Liga example.

Football impossible to imagine without fans. Everyone remember COVID-19 and empty stadiums. With development of technologies competition hosts or TV broadcasters could provide their fans with unique statistic and information. Which will make fans engagement even more during the football match.

An example of Spanish La Liga should show how fans could be more engaged in the game. What the Spanish league did: They started to gather data from 16 cameras which film the game and showed it to the fans. With all this data, fans can know statistics about the shots, passes, speed of the shot, speed of the player or the distance to which they passed. The key factor for fans to fully understand all data is that La Liga shows it in a simple way. Bright and understandable graphics which help fans to be engaged in the game more than usual.

Conclusion.

AI and technologies will become more important in football. We are going to have AI implementation in more and more sectors of football. Not only top teams and league are going to use AI in their preparations for the matches. But, also fans will use technologies to understand games better.

Worldcoin – digital disaster or innovation?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

What is WLD

World Coin is the project from OpenAI founder Sam Altman. It is project where AI meets crypto. In the simple words the startup uses orbs to scan people’s eyes in exchange for a digital ID and some cryptocurrency.

Concept and mission of the WorldCoin?

Worldcoin was founded with the mission of creating a globally-inclusive identity and financial network, owned by the people. Worldcoin consist of three key elements: World ID, World APP and Worldcoin (WLD). Once Worldcoin has received a unique iris scan, the project issues a digital identity called a World ID. The World App is the repository for your World ID. The app functions as a crypto wallet, but its primary purpose is to store user credentials so that users can verify themselves on any third-party application. And Once users create a World ID and download the World App, they get access to the WLD cryptocurrency token.

Privacy Concerns

Critics argue that collecting iris scans, even if the data is not stored or directly linked to the World ID, poses potential risks for hacking. The use of biometrics in this manner might be seen as intrusive, making it a contested point between personal privacy and participation in this new financial ecosystem.

Legal Landscape

Worldcoin also faces different kinds of global regulations governing cryptocurrencies. Achieving universal acceptance could be a challenging task. For example, in regions like the US, where the legal framework around cryptocurrencies is still being shaped, Worldcoin’s potential benefits might be limited.

Conclusion

Worldcoin undoubtedly presents a unique vision for the intersection of digital identity and cryptocurrency. It aims to tackle issues: privacy, economic inequality, and the AI revolution. However, the real question is whether Worldcoin can fulfill its promises amidst the criticisms and challenges it faces.

In my opinion project need more time to adapt for our realities. Humanity in general are hesitant to pass on sensitive information to a commercial projects. Plus the most important point for WLD is to meet all regulations from the government. Unfortunately, I could not see how world accept this technology in the near future. But only future will show.
