What is ChatGPT? How it was created?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

ChatGPT is an AI-powered language model developed by OpenAI, a research organization focused on creating artificial intelligence technology that benefits humanity. It is a conversational AI model that uses deep learning algorithms to generate human-like responses to text input. It is based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) architecture, which is one of the largest language models developed to date.

The creation of ChatGPT was the result of several years of research and development in the field of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning. OpenAI’s goal was to build a language model that could understand and generate text in a way that mimics human language. To achieve this, they trained the model on a massive dataset of text from the internet, which included everything from news articles and books to social media posts and online forums.

Once the model was trained, it was fine-tuned for specific applications such as customer service, language translation, and information retrieval. The fine-tuning process involved adjusting the model’s parameters to better fit the specific requirements of each task. As a result, ChatGPT has become one of the most versatile and widely used conversational AI models in the world, used by businesses and organizations in a wide range of industries.

In conclusion, ChatGPT is a cutting-edge AI language model that is capable of generating human-like text based on a deep understanding of the underlying meaning of the input. It is a result of years of research and development in the field of NLP and machine learning and is a testament to the power of AI to revolutionize the way we interact with technology.

Spotify will fire 600 employees

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Swedish music service Spotify announced a 6% cut from about 10,000 employees. Bloomberg writes about this.

Looking back, I realized that I was too ambitious to invest in our revenue growth. And for this reason, today we are cutting our staff by about 6%,» said Spotify CEO Daniel Ek.

Ek added that in the next few hours «one-on-one interviews will be held with all affected employees».

The company did not specify which departments would be affected by layoffs.

In 2017, Spotify employed about 3,000 people. By the end of 2022, this number had more than tripled.

Spotify, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, rose by more than 4.5% on the back of the announcement.

In recent years, the company has invested heavily in the development of new markets and exclusive content. Spotify spent more than $1 billion on podcasts alone, and sparked outrage last year when it signed a multi-year $100 million deal with scandalous blogger Joe Rogan.

Despite the success of the online music market, the company continues to suffer losses. According to Ek, Spotify operating expenses are twice as high as revenues.

«This would be unsustainable in the long run in any climate, but in difficult macroeconomic conditions it is even more difficult to close the gap,» he said.

The company’s annual turnover in 2021 reached $10.4bn.

During the presentation of its Third Quarter Earnings Report 2022, Spotify reported 456 million active users per month, of which 195 million are paid subscribers. They account for most of the company’s income.

By 2030, Spotify plans to increase the number of users to 1 billion.

Although I think this is the right decision, I understand that given our historical focus on growth, many of you will see it as a shift in our culture,» said Ek.

Earlier, Alphabet announced massive cuts.

AI art terrifying- and amazing

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Today, the creation of pictures thanks to AI is beginning to gain popularity at breakneck speed, every day going to tiktok, Twitter or Instagram, we encounter the art of AI, whether it is a mask from an announcer or a post by some blogger, and where did it even come from and how does it work?

If you think that AI just takes key images at your request and mixes them then you are mistaken. AI interprets your request and creates a completely new picture (you can try to do this several times, and each picture will be different, regardless of whether you change the description or not).

The bottom line is that programmers have trained AI with millions of different photos, based on which, trying to build a kind of pattern, we get a picture.

AI is slowly beginning to seep into contemporary art galleries, as in mid-2018, journalists received a mysterious press release “creativity is not for man.” Its creator was the French art group Obvious, engaged in the synthesis of art and programming. Their own neural network created a series of paintings, and one of them they even sold at Chrisie’s auction for $ 432500.

Naturally, most of all with artificial intelligence work the largest corporations – Google, Amazon, NVidia, Apple and others. In fact, none of them positions their research to create a neural network that would be able to fully engage in art. Rather, these are scientific fundamental works that allow you to expand the boundaries of ai capabilities. Despite this, Google has the Google Deep Dream project, in which engineers are working to create artificial intelligence with intuition for creativity. He works according to the GUN training system, when one artificial intelligence analyzes a huge number of artistic images and creates others based on them, and the second artificial intelligence learns from them. This system works on the principle of the human brain, since a person analyzes, as a rule, not so much real objects of art as his own interpretations or even someone else’s opinion.

As a result, the second artificial intelligence, after analyzing the paintings created by the first, begins to draw – in completely strange genres, unlike anything that a person created.

“This isn’t going to stop,” Mr. Allen said. “Art is dead, dude. It’s over. A.I. won. Humans lost.”

Kanye West wants to buy social network Parler

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Kanye West, the rapper, fashion designer and firebrand increasingly known for divisive cultural and political commentary that has been called racist, appears set to become the owner of a social media service known for its right-wing audience.

Last week, the star’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were blocked, after he posted anti-Semitic messages. Parler is used mainly by US conservatives, and describes itself as a “free speech”. Buying a social network is unlikely to block you in it.

Ye “will never have to fear being removed from social media again”, chief executive George Farmer posted.

Announcement, on PR Newswire does not disclose the terms of the deal

It says: “Under the terms of their agreement in principle, the parties intend to conclude a final purchase agreement and plan to close it in the fourth quarter of 2022.”

The transaction will include “ongoing technical support” from the company.

Parler struggled to maintain his relevance in recent months, following the explosion of growth following the 2020 US election.

According to Sensor Tower, the app was downloaded 90,000 times last month globally, compared to 9 million downloads for Twitter.

Ye – who changed his name in 2021 – wrote: “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves.”

Maybe buying this social media he will finally calm down.

Many mainstream US conservative figures, including politicians and broadcasters, have accounts.

Parler hopes that the popularity of Kanye will increase and popularity of the app too. According to the idea downloads should increase and therefore increase turnover of the company. Let’s see what will happen in the future.
