FBI VS APPLE: Data Encryption & Terrorism

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The conflict between US department of Justice and Apple has started in 2015, when Obama’s government asked the company for information belonging to terrorist from San Bernardino. Since then, FBI hasn’t made the same request for the world biggest company. Back then, it has ended in the court with an order obtaining Apple to break into the phone. Tim Cook defended the encryption of iPhones, by informing the world that actions like this would make a lack of security for IOS users. After this statement, FBI found an contractor which has broken the Apple’s encryption. The next software update was meant to prevent situations like this.

Everybody thought that the conflict is going to ease, but few days ago FBI made another request for information from two locked iPhones. They had belonged to Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani. He is accused of killing three people at a naval base in Florida. After the attack, Saudi Air Force student killed himself. There is only one statement from Apple which tells us that they will give “all the data in their possession”. Also they “will support them with available data”. FBI request is at early stage and there are no signs of intervention in the court, but it is told that the old conflict can escalate.

FUTURE OF TATTOING

Reading Time: 2 minutes

NANO TECHNOLOGY IS REVOLUTIONIZING TATTOO INDUSTRY

These days tattoos are meant to decorate bodies and have significant meaning, but this is going to change. Being frequently connected with criminals or artists, body inking was a taboo. Now it can become help for people who are having health issues by diagnosing problems and reacting quickly.

The first technology I will write about, are nano-tattoos. They are available to show us when we have to use sunscreen on our body during the activity of the sun. It helps with avoiding the skin cancer, by showing the solar freckles on our body when the protection is disappearing. Tattoos prevents skin cancer and unhealthy burns, also it is making life easier. New inking technology is based on UV activated dye and because of this, tattoos are reacting with light. Dye is based on biosensors which are responding to liquid variations between cells.

There are many ways of using this novelty. Ink can be dependent on chemical reactions happening in our body, like PH level, glucose and many more. For example it can detect different body temperatures without using a thermometer and reveal them by specific colours, dedicated for the level of temperature. But one of the most revolutionary aspects is using nano-tattoos in cardiology. Human skin cannot conduct electricity, so specialists are working on tattoos, which are able to do it. It has got connection with heart issues. The pacemaker’s battery must be changed every 5-10 years, but when our body gains the ability of running power, the issue with pacemaker is going to be solved. The other, also important problem with diabetes can be figured out. The meter for measuring level of sugar in the blood won’t be necessary.

Tattoo controlling sugar level

Our technology world is ready to change the perception of tattoos, by making them a tool for helping many people with chronic diseases from tragedy. Also this new tech can make our life a lot of easier and more comfortable. The traditional, decorative meaning of tattoos is going to be replaced by more health related side.

Olli 2.0, car printed by Local Motors Industry

Airbus and Local Motors Industries teamed up to create Neorizon, startup responsible for 3D printing. It is heading to develop autonomous mobility. A manufacture opened in Munich is printing drones and self-driving cars.

LMI has got experience in 3D printing. They are doing it since 2007. 3D vehicle parts are also an objective for Neorizon. The goal is to lower the pollution, because printed parts are 100% recyclable. According to Toyota, average car has got 30,000 parts. Every car company would be able to produce it by themselves. Today companies are collecting them from many different manufacturers. The goal is to make 3D printing technology common. Perspective is promising, but there are many requirements for 3D printing to work perfect internationally in every company. Every manufacture must have sophisticated technology and well equipped, educated workers. Also, they should have got similar materials and the same process of printing. It has to be implemented in every factory and repair service.
