As Netflix use subscription business model, each user has an ability to take advantage of the collection of a few free mobile games. As we may observe, the company aims to stand out their offer from the others. Their new games are not easy programs bought from failing studies.

The war in Ukraine, which has been going for almost 2 months now is even fought in the Internet. Recently, we found out that the Russian are stealing various types of things, including Apple equipment.

As we all know, Apple system offers the solution of “Find my iPhone”, which enable to measure the company’s equipment as long as it is attached to the account, One of the AirPod users added a Twitt in which he confessed that his stolen headphones are in Belarus.

“Ukrainians are locating their devices on their territory of the Homiel region, Belarus, where part of the Russian army has withdrawn” – says Franak Viacòrka.

This massage from Viacòrka is also the proof that Russia is using the territories of Belarus to conduct its military operations.

The whole situation shows that humanity is the weakest feature here. Maybe you remember, one time it was loud about secret military bases that were no longer secret. All thanks to soldiers who track their physical activity thanks to a running application (of course with GPS turned on).

What is more, it turns out, that Russian commanders use also unsecured telephones and radio transmitters. In this way, the Ukrainian army can relatively easily track their location and attack the command staffs.

Additionally, it turns out that even various dating sites contributed to the fact that Western countries earned about Russia’s plans to attack Ukraine earlier. New facts about dating apps recently came too light. Moreover, these services can still help in the hostilities.

UK service sources revealed that the dating apps become huge stores of knowledge for spies. Soldiers and people involved in military operations were not scrupulously supervised by their superiors. What is important here, the content posted on dating apps has already contributed to the use of confidential information by special services several times. Recently, in this way, American soldiers have, absolutely unknowingly, betrayed the location of several secret bases. Men serving in the military use dating apps and other websites that save and share their activity results, including documenting the routes of walks or runs.

So far, the only way of rating content and giving a personal opinion by users on YouTube was limited to leaving comments and likes (thumb up or thumb down). Now youTube creators are working on new experiment (time reactions) which would allow the recipients sharing emoji while specific moment of the movie. 

Recently, we could observe a few changes in this platform. One of them was hiding the meter which showed the number of negative ratings below movies. The creators introduced the controversial age verification which caused a huge rumor within the users while it become necessary to connect a payment card or attach an identity scan. 

And now they are working on a new function earlier mentioned – the possibility of adding the reactions in a specific moments of movies. Currently, YouTube is testing the functionality on a small group of users in a chosen movies. They are able to use a wide range of emojis. 

How exactly does it work? Below there is attached the announcement given by TeamYouTube:

„If you are looking for a movie can search for it, you can sneak in and search for a search by opening the movie comments for a watch and tapping the panel. The test will show you which moments you assign to other viewers (which will be anonymized – we will show you who sent each user). We test a lot of our reactions and add or enjoy repairs in the mileage!”

To sum up, it is going to be a similar function which already is available on Facebook Live or Twitch. At this point, YouTube is testing emoji responses on a small number of channels, however, depending on the reception, it may expand the area of ​​operation.

Many comments are negative. Users say they were more likely to define whether movie was worth watching by looking at the number of thumbs up and down and that was enough. This way it was clear. There was this percentage division of rating which helped to define if a movie was good or not. What’s more, they are sure this way the platform will slowly start to lose many users.

The number of cables and chargers produced and discarded each year is unacceptable. Europeans change their smartphones on average every two years, so every second year our citizens are forced to buy new chargers when buying new devices, even if all chargers are still working. Demand is increasing, and with it wastage and exploitation of natural resources.

However, Apple is protesting against European Union plans. The company warns that forcing manufacturers to standardize the charger will inhibit innovation and – paradoxically – will contribute to the creation of new waste when, for example, current chargers are no longer needed. We believe that regulations enforcing a uniform charger model will hinder innovation and will only harm European consumers and the entire market. We hope that the Commission will look for other solutions – those that will not harm the development of the technology industry,” Apple wrote in a statement to Reuters.

Nowadays we shop in much advanced technologically way. It’s not just that we can choose and order any product online but we’re able to choose a suitable cosmetics to our types of prettiness. 

Women cannot believe how it is possible to choose the colour of foundation or highlighter to their faces. Not only we need to know which type of beauty we have but the skin can be lighter, darker, dry, oil, even mixed but what is more even if we know exactly our type we have no guarantee that next to intensive, artificial light the chosen product may be seen exactly how we thought. Additionally many cosmetics after the contact with skin may be completely various from raw form of product.

Then how exactly can we choose the cosmetic by using new technologies?

One of the solutions was introduced by Lančome brand in 2017 when people came to the shop where they could buy the foundation choosing from 72 colours by scanning women’s faces. The algorithm defined which mixed of colours is the most suitable for a particular type of prettiness. 

But this idea couldn’t really work in ‘drugstore’ conditions due to the fact that more people shop in places like that. Technologies companies extend a helping hand in form offering the special mobile’s applications. The most popular application this type is ModiFace – which the L’Oreal brand is trying to own. ModiFace uses expanded reality to replace the screen of our phone into the mirror. Shortly, the potential client is able to see its face in which the cosmetic was put and appraise if he likes it or not. 

On the market there are now other applications that make our cosmetic’s shopping easier. For example CosmeticScan is an application which by using the camera, scan the code of the particular product and send us some informations about its composition, use and threats. 

Interesting example is also is CosmEthics app which returns us to the websites where we can find professional reviews as well as science articles. 

This technology’s revolution in cosmetic’s trade is not only about the mobile’s applications. The next innovative product which was introduced by L’Oreal company was bandaid UV which we stick to the body and in connection with mobile app warns us against threats connected with sun contact. It informs us about two indicators: the degree of threat of solar radiation and the daily dose of sun. 

The idea which was really surprising one was artificial hairbrush. That gadget by using technology, collect informations about brushing hair and next teach us how to make it correctly.

Mini officially presented its electric MINI Cooper SE in Poland. The British-German 3-door hatchback consumes approximately 15 kWh/100 km on average and according to the manufacturer can travel over 230 kilometers on a single charge in “mixed mode”.

The car uses the same drive system as BMW i3s and is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 32.6 kWh. The battery is located in the center of the vehicle, between the front and rear rows rows of seats, thanks to which the car’s center of gravity is very low what helps to maintain the driving characteristics that MINI’s are known for.

The electric engine allows this hatchback to accelerate in 7.3 seconds to 100km/h. From the outside the vehicle looks like a classic MINI with exception of the full, aerodynamic front, characteristic nowodays for many electric cars, yellow markings and rims with an asymmetrical pattern created especially for this model. The rear LED lights with a fragment of the British Union Jack flag pattern optically widen the car, while front adaptive headlights can adapt to the current traffic situation.

The interior still stands out in its class and can be equipped with many different accessories to suit your personal taste. The Polish representative office valued them at 193,200 PLN but they are still working on matching the price to new regulations related to payments for the purchase of electric cars. It takes 15 hours to fully charge the vehicle. The car is sold with a standard AC charging cable, while the quick charging cable is an additional paid option. What is more, on the official MINI website there is a bookmark in which you can check how often you need to charge your car during the week.

Reading Time: 2 minutesCan you detect when someone is lying? When talking face-to-face, there are several specific factors which may help you recognise if someone is a liar. These usually include nervousness, avoiding eye contact or even excessive sweating. Basically, it is all about our posture, facial expression and body language which people are not even aware of – so that they do not pay attention to it and are not able to control it. It turns out that these features became so clear that during the conversation it is not so difficult to identify the lie. However, finding them on the Internet is not so simple, especially if we do not see the other person and we only have the text in front of us. Fortunately, scientists have already solved this problem and created the first online lie detector.

A team from the University of Florida has developed a special algorithm that can be described as the world’s first online polygraph. Then they created the online game in which players were randomly assigned to the role ‘’saint’’ or ‘’sinner’’. There were 40 participants who took part in 80 games in the experiment. The algorithm analysed the entries of people from both groups and highlighted specific words that determine if someone is a liar. The program found that liars usually respond faster and use words like ‘’always’’ and ‘’never’’. On the other hand, truthful people use ‘’guess’’ and ‘’maybe’’ phrases and need more time to answer. 

The program using machine learning turned out to be very effective in distinguishing liars from truthful people. During testing, the accuracy rate ranged from 85% to 100%, while people usually can recognise cheaters with an accuracy of about 50%. The team of scientists intends to develop its algorithm and test it on a larger number of participants. It is possible that these lie detectors will become part of popular instant messengers in the future.
