Tinder. Sex app or your coronavirus best helper.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Today, only the lazy person or “ digital vegan” doesn’t know about Tinder.

Tinder is a popular partially paid application for Android and Apple iOS mobile platforms, designed for romantic acquaintances in accordance with the specified ones and taking into account geolocation. Connection via social network, Facebook , Google account or phone number is possible. Managed by the North American corporation Match Group (English) Russian, a subsidiary of IAC.

The program is an adaptation of the earlier Grindr application, which served for dating among an audience with an orientation other than heterosexual .

The main actions in the application are swipes – “swipes” (swiping a finger in a horizontal direction): the user is shown photographs and short biographies of candidates (name and age), and the user can swipe to the right if he considers the match to be successful (a number of users never swipes left ). If two users have marked each other as a good match, they can start a chat and make an appointment .

In times of coronavirus, It is very hard to make new connections. Especially, I recently felt it since I am doing a double degree programme in France. Ways of meeting new people without attending university or parties are extremely limited. For me , being not very attracted to Tinder culture, was kind of hard to start using tinder in its alternative way- app for friendship. And guess what, people are very open-minded and eager to help. I have already created a list of interesting places to visit thanks to this app and its users.

Moreover, Tinder  might be extremely useful if the person is willing to boost up these  kind of things:

  1. Just a communication skill
  2. Stronger communication skills with people with different mindsets, which might be very diverse. Sometimes, there would be some users with negative vibes and attitudes.  It is useful to recognize and cut them off in everyday real life, and not to start painful relationships or affairs with them.
  3. Formation of clearer images of what is “mine / not mine”. After some time of research on Tinder, people tend to actually understand at least something close to their type. With this said, let’s emphasize that every one of us has a different understanding of “the type”.
  4. And the last is the motivation for live acquaintances in your real environment. ” This desire really comes after a few months on Tinder or any other similar app. Where else to carry all these honed skills? Certainly not back into the maelstrom of reality.

Instagram. From the picture-sharing platform to the powerful marketplace.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It is hard to find a person who has never used or at least heard of Instagram. This social media is growing like wheat and does not give competitors any chance. Instagram is known as a platform where people can upload pictures or videos to share them with the subscribers. Well, to be precise, it used to be like that. Now, Instagram is becoming a social monster that has every feature you can think of. Imagine yourself scrolling your Insta feed and there is an amazing pair of jeans. You dream of getting them. Guess what, now you can do it in one click!

Instagram marketologists never forget to follow all the trends and see what users actually want. This platform is an outstanding example of market research and customer-orientation. This way instagram is confidently becoming a huge market place.

Even though Instagram does not call itself “a market place”, a lot of users are happily developing their business there. Initially, its users simply shared their photos, but with the growth of the Instagram audience, entrepreneurs began to actively use it to present and promote their products. According to statistics, 48% of small businesses have Instagram accounts, and this number is constantly growing.

Instagram is primarily a visual presentation using photos, so it is best to sell products that can be “presented by the face”: clothing, gadgets, handmade products, children’s products, products for healthy lifestyle and weight loss, cosmetics and the like. However, many people successfully use this network to promote an intangible product – services, consultations, training, marathons and other things. The key disadvantage of Instagram is the inability to accept payments using built-in tools (due to the lack of such tools). But knowing the rapid tendency of developing, no doubts, these tools are going to enter the market soon.

Two years ago, shopping tags appeared on Instagram. One click on the image allowed users to find out the cost of the product, information about it and instantly go to the site to buy it.

Shopping Tags are special price tags that are displayed on the photo when the user touches the image. On the preview of posts, you will immediately see an image of a white basket – this is how all publications with similar labels are marked.

The new functionality of Instagram opens up previously inaccessible business opportunities: now, in order to buy a favorite thing from a picture, just click on its photo. The click will redirect you to the product description page, and then to the online store to make a purchase.

Tags are available not only in the usual posts, but also in stories. In addition to the key selling function, they can help you get to know your customer even better and get statistics on traffic to your online store.

Reading Time: 2 minutes      “Diya ” short for “Derzhava I Ya”, or government and me, is a web portal and mobile application of the same name, which are part of the project “Government in a smartphone” of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. This app was made to make the life of Ukrainian people much easier. No more worries about a forgotten ID or driver’s license. Everything is always on you in your personal smartphone! Nevertheless, this app differs from just pictures of documents people take. Each document has its own QR code for requested check-ins.

“According to statistics, only 9% of people in our country use government services online. This is a very small amount though. 91% of Ukrainians now do not use online tools to interact with the government. Why? The first reason is digital literacy. This is what today is the basis of our country’s competitiveness in the world. And this is a challenge that we also accept, ” the Prime Minister said. Not to mention, DIYA provides a special IT course for brand-new users who are not familiar with the technology.

This app gives an opportunity to all the Ukrainians to receive services from the government online instead of standing in line for hours to the public offices. It means that now there is a possibility to obtain specific certificates, extracts, and data from various state agencies and registries, submit packages of documents to initiate various processes: opening/closing a private enterprise, processing unemployment benefits, etc. The task of Diya is to make the process of providing these services fast, transparent, and save people from unnecessary bureaucracy.

“Diya” also stores electronic copies of such documents as a foreign passport, ID card, student ID card, driver’s license, technical passport. They are full-fledged copies of plastic originals.

Now in Ukraine, if necessary, all the documents can be presented directly from the smartphone screen. Moreover, DIYA documents are as legitimate as real ones, for example, now citizens are simply able to confirm the ownership of the car and the right to drive it by showing the chosen document in the application. And this is really convenient because it eliminates the need to carry plastic documents with you, which significantly reduces the risk of their loss. The main thing is not to forget to take your smartphone with you.

In order to use the mobile app, you need to download it from the Google Play Market and Apple Store. After starting it, you will have to log in. You can do this using BankID from PrivatBank or Monobank. And that is All. The application itself will pull up your documents, which are available for display in electronic form.
