Electric or gas-powered vehicles?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

People are becoming more aware of environmental issues and are beginning to take action to address them. One of them is the transition to electric vehicles, which, as it turns out, is a bad idea. Although these vehicles provide us with new sensations, incredible speed, and technological innovations that make our journey or life easier through the use of various amenities, they are not the solution to the global problem of greenhouse gas emissions. Although I am a huge fan of these devices and their automotive applications, I’d like to look at it from an ecological standpoint and mention a few facts. We’ve been seeing this issue for a long time. In recent years, there has been a significant trend of promoting electromobility as the only correct direction for the automotive industry. Otherwise, we face a bleak future. The issue is that we don’t know the truth about electricity.

Why is the technology of these cars not so great?

-the amount of energy that we are able to contain in a given volume. Gasoline is among the batteries in this respect. 12.9 kWh of energy is enclosed in 1 kg of gasoline. Electro-optimists believe that the cell density of the future is to reach about 0.5 kWh/kg. Currently, Tesla achieves in the range of 0.22-0.25 kWh / kg, which is 52 times less than gasoline. This means that to close the same energy as in a kilogram of gasoline, we need 52 kg of electric cells. However, despite the fact that the petrol engine will transfer only 45% of the accumulated energy to the energy driving the wheels, and the electrician 95%, it is still unrivaled in favor of petrol.

-Despite the claim of zero emissions when driving electric vehicles, the production process of batteries is forgotten, the process of extracting the raw materials necessary for their construction, such as lithium, cobalt or nickel are just some of the elements whose deposits are limited. Everyone talks about running out of oil and little is heard about the deficiencies of the mentioned elements. And the extraction of these elements requires, to a large extent, almost artisanal work of minors in Africa.

-Green NCAP-checked the full life cycle of individual cars to calculate their overall emissions. The results were surprising. Combustion cars did not remain in the shadow of electric cars, achieving not so much worse results. However, it must be admitted that electric ones emit less greenhouse gases over their entire life cycle than internal combustion cars. But that doesn’t mean they’re organic either. They will be defined as a commercial product, where environmental costs are set aside for future generations. “Ecological is walking, not driving”

Let’s look at this problem in more detail. It turns out that it is not motorization that is destroying our planet.

Approximately 50 gigatons of greenhouse gases are emitted annually. The main sources of global emissions: about 73% is energy consumption, and road transport generates less than 12%, including cars and trucks. So in the worst case, passenger cars take up only a few %. Even the entire replacement of combustion cars with electric cars would not eliminate these percentages, because they would be transferred to other sectors responsible for electric energy and the production of these cars.

Since cars are a small percentage, where should we look to reduce gas emissions?

It turns out that China is responsible for 38% of all global emissions. Adding the USA and INDIA together, they account for 60% of all emissions, while all of Europe is only 8%.

So does anyone really think that a European ban on combustion cars will bring any relief to the planet?

It turns out that it does not and much other and more serious factors have an impact on it, which should be dealt with first, rather than waging a war over technology, which provides us with amazing opportunities, changes our lives and, despite the fact that it is not the best source of salvation for our planet, because as we already know there are more important things that affect it, we need it immensely.

Thank you for reading.

Vr-is it going to die or conquer the world?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Short explanation:

Virtual reality is a phrase heard by many of us but do we really know what this is about?

The creation of simulated environments using computer technology, placing many users inside a three-dimensional world and providing them with almost real experiences creates something unbelievable for many people and that’s what virtual reality is.

A set of virtual worlds between which we can move, meet other people and experience various types of stimuli using our own created avatar using VR and AR technology as well as special equipment in the form of google VR and others is something truly amazing. Over the course of development, more advanced sensory experiences would come, involving an increasing number of senses such as hearing, touch and even taste to make the created world more real.

One of many in the world who unconditionally believes in the development of this technology is Mark Zuckerberg. His and his company’s involvement in the research and development of this technology, although very promising, brought serious financial losses to Meta. According to him, the world of the metaverse will be the new Internet, and just as many years ago no one expected that within the range of a small device such as a telephone, we would gather a lot of information and the possibility of contact with the whole world, The same as then today many doubt the development of this world.

Technology is supposed to simplify our lives and it is supposed to be similar to the metaverse, the development of which may reduce many development barriers. let’s imagine a situation when bosses from different parts of the world sit at one business table within one room in a special virtual world, in fact sitting in their own room in the forest wearing only google VR.let’s imagine a situation when bosses from different parts of the world sit at one business table within one room in a special virtual world, in fact sitting in their own room in the forest wearing only google vr. Experiencing this situation with all your senses and not just the TV screen will be an amazing experience. Sitting in your own home and having the opportunity to meet people of other nations, from the other end of the world, and even going to a concert or to a regular store will be within our reach.Already, many worlds created by games such as Fortnite or Minecraft want to absorb their users even more and immerse them in an almost real world that they experience with all their senses. However, this requires a lot of work and refinement of details as well as having advanced equipment, which is expensive at the moment.

A short movie to explain everything more briefly:

The race for dominance in this world is still going on and Mark Zuckerberg’s huge risk and huge financial losses do not guarantee his success because there are other huge companies around the corner, such as Microsoft, which are also exploring and interested in this world. other large companies create their own meta worlds, testing, for example, cooperation between employees in the virtual world. H&M opening its virtual store and enabling the purchase of its digital products is the best example of this.

This concept of augmented reality will probably defend itself and will become the answer to many human and economic problems. At the same time, it will introduce society to other problems that it will have to face. I sincerely believe in this technology and count on its development, which will further improve our world.

WHY PHYTON IS THE BEST LANGUAGE?

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Python is one of the most popular programming languages for a reason. It may be used to develop a wide range of programs and isn’t tailored for any particular issues. The Python language gives you many possibilities because thanks to it you can create both simple scripts and complex backend applications. Other relevant uses of  Python are software development for robots, programming games, and applications, creating mobile applications, and last but not least artificial intelligence. Its adaptability and beginner-friendliness have elevated it to the top of the list of programming languages in use today. What is more, since it’s relatively easy to learn, Python has been adopted by many non-programmers such as accountants and scientists, for a variety of everyday tasks, like organizing finances. Additionally to this In 2021, developers ranked it as the second-most popular programming language.

Taking everything into consideration I would like to highlight 3 arguments expressing in more detail the value of this insane language:

  1. COMMUNITY:

Python because of its popularity has One of the largest and most helpful developer communities on the market. If you are not familiar with programming, you may not be aware of the time that developers have to spend in case to find some solutions. Everyone at the beginning of their path is a beginner and is looking for answers to many questions. A strong and efficient community enables quick and valuable help that is a necessity for many. On Stack Overflow alone there have been almost 2 million Python-related questions. Out of these questions, a whopping 1.3M questions have been answered.

2. FRIENDLY TO LEARN:

Many people say that python should be the first programming language to learn. Python is much easier to learn than any other programming language because of its simplified and similar to English syntax. Moreover, Python provides great libraries that you can choose from to save time and effort during the early stages of development. Additionally to this Python contains the most extensions and packages to automate work which makes this language very useful for new users.

3. FLEXIBILITY:

A person who specializes in the python language does not have to limit himself to creating the same things over and over again because python combined with our imagination gives us a wide range of possibilities to create new and innovative things. It is also possible for programmers to combine phyton with other languages to reach their needs and goals. Flexibility provides developers with the possibility to choose styles or even combine them with others to create the most efficient environment for them to work and design new technology.

The most popular apps built with python:

  1. Spotify

The best and most recognizable platform for listening to music decided to use phyton as a primary programming language. Python’s powerful data analytics and rapid development pace were factors in the company’s decision to employ it. This gives Spotify the ability to control features like Radio and Discover, which are entirely dependent on the users’ individual musical preferences.

2. Pinterest

A world-famous application that allows you to share various types of data using GIFs, short videos, and images, also decided to use phyton for its development. Huge user engagement sharing posts related to various topics requires advanced technology and this may deliver phyton. Python helps Pinterest improve user experiences, provide real-time photo updates, manage massive volumes of content, and meet the requirements of new users.

3. Uber

This is one of these apps that we don’t have to introduce because it is well-known all over the world. It is public knowledge that this app provides us with transport solutions and makes the possibility to connect the driver with the person who is looking for transport and in this case phyton plays the biggest role because thanks to this language these connections are possible and the whole system is working the way it should.

SUMMARY:

Summing everything up I would like to say that as a beginner phyton programmer it would be unfair to oppose these arguments because all I have just written is true and especially for artificial intelligence I mostly believe that phyton is the best but we have to know that programming is not for everybody and whether it is phyton or another language it requires time to learn and achieve some level. That’s why I highly recommend not giving up at the beginning of our journey, paying attention to details, and being precise during studying.

Thank you for reading.

HOW DRONES BECAME AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE WAR

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or unmanned aircraft systems well known to us as “drones”. These generally small devices are basically flying machines remotely controlled by people or programmed robots to fly autonomously using software in its embedded systems connected  with onboard sensors and a global positioning system (GPS). They are most often associated with industries such as defence, Military Warfare and in many others related to war. At the beginning they were mostly used for intelligence gathering, anti-aircraft target practice and as weapons platforms. These days drones are both valuable to civilians and military units and their popularity is increasing because of their utility, fast production  and growing affordability which is very relevant in hostilities.

Imaginative and smart use of drones by Ukraine

Using of drones has considerably  changed defence and counterinsurgency operations around the world. For a long time drones are delivered for wars, for example Turkish drones had extremely important impact on war between Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020.It’s important to mention that these drones were powerful, massive, expensive and not that easy to produce. Contrary to them,  the Ukrainian army focused on the production of cheap, plastic, equipped airplanes with devices that can drop objects such as grenades and bombs. Most of these drones were manufactured in workshops throughout Ukraine by people with their own hands. This process wasn’t very demanding and certainly provides enormous advantages. Despite having powerful military drones, majority of bulk of its drone fleet consists of these drones intended for smaller activities such us spoting artillery targets or dropping anti-tank munitions. It created posibility to overcome Russia’s advantage in artillery and tanks.

Russia’s ‘kamikaze’ drone attacking Ukraine

Russia was first suspected by Ukraine of using a drone well known as the Iranian-made Shahed-136 in order to attack civilians. It’s really dangerous machine constructed to follow the target until it is instructed to attack and it’s hard to detect. These drones have been spotted in many places in Ukraine. They are significantly cheaper than cruise missiles, which makes them profitable. Ukrainian armies have managed to intercept a large part of these drones, but they are  difficult to intercept and are more difficult to defeat by air defense.

How drones are being used and who is supplying them?

CURIOSITIES AND FACTS REFERING TO THE VIDEO :

  • Russia is buying shahed military drones from Iran
  • Us Is supplying drones to Ukraine
  • Elon Musk ‘SpaceX is providing starlink satellite communication system to Ukraine
  • DJI has now stopped its supply of drones to Russia and Ukraine
  • Global drones academy was training the troops

Summing up…

In summary, the development of drone-related technology is extremely important these days and provides great opportunities, whether in a war or in everyday life. Certainly, companies specializing in this field will have a significant impact on the functioning of our world .Hopefully in the right direction..
